Shar'ra
"Well, excuse me!" she stands up. "Believe it or not, serving ungrateful bitches like you doesn't exactly have me living in luxury. No offense to the rest of you," she tilts her head towards Elliah, Akumo, and Westan, "that was 'bitches' in the singular sense." Turning back to Shar'ra, she continues. "Sure, I want the loyalists dead- their damn war's gonna tear this whole freakin' country apart- but I'm hardly about to risk my life for it without some incentive other than 'Oh, thanks corpse! Really appreciate how you helped saved us from another civil war. Too bad you're not around to F'ING ENJOY IT."
Diplomacy- Success! She sits back down, sulkily. "Besides, I wasn't even talking about a monetary price. But since you're apparently not interested in even listening to what I have to say, you might as well just go charge in blindly as your stupid plan suggests."

"Madam you forget yourself!
You know nothing of my people or their plight. There are the Asherati of the wastes who live in prosperous cities and live wealthy lifestyles and there are those that suffer the harsh desert as nomads, my people.
I gave up my freedom and forsook my people so that they may live prosperous lives with bountiful food and health. I am not nobility, I am not royalty, and I am certainly not without humility. I am a slave.
My goals are the goals of King Agamemnon, and I am naught to his power. I would loathe to see his rage bring down a fury unlike anything this city has ever seen in it's time due to my failure in his endeavor, and believe you me, he would win."
My eyes burn brightly with fire, and my voice strengthens, "So I suggest you cooperate with us and either provide us with the information we seek or leave us at once. I've not the time to teach you to see the world if you can't see the people in front of you and I've not the resolve to teach you the values of patience and integrity."
Intimidate-

(This was more of an exaggerated "Scare some sense into this woman" tactic and while not a lie, a bit of a skewed truth).
OOC, to Everybody-
I wanted to mention something about my character real quick. This is pretty much how I've built my character, selfish in her goals and capable of delivering a damn good speech when she needs to. A word of advice, please don't hesitate to call out my character when she's out of line or when it's not okay to speak for you, this isn't me as a player running the show and direction of the game, it's my character acting as I designed her. While I am somewhat selfish in my goals due to my backstory, I am not above teamwork and party democracy.

Intimidate-Failure!- "Oh, like I give a crap about your tribe of barbarians. Obviously you're not interested in this city; if you're not even willing to pay for information, I can't trust that you're even on Karnakiid's side in this. However," she stands back up and assumes an imperial stance, "you're wrong if you think I'm gonna leave because some miserly bitch with a stick up her arse tells me to. If anything, I should be kicking you out at this point. And unless you apologize, that's exactly what I'm doing!"
By now, other guests are beginning to come downstairs (likely as a result of the commotion), and are offering quizzical glances at this exchange.

Akumo chuckles a laughter "Girl I can do more than picking a lock" The Dwarf then quietly listens to Shar'ra's plan.
"This is probably my ticket, if I can get close to a guildmaster, I might be able to work for him and get the money I need" Akumo quietly muses to himself, but he is drawn out of his thoughts by the sudden dispute between the two lassies.
"Girls calm down, we don't need people husshing behind our back and brigin trouble"
(Diplomacy 15-1=14)
The red haired Dwarf tries to appease both the wench and Shar'ra, regardless of the outcome of his poor speech Akumo tries to think of any guards or city oficials that are of the loyalist side.

OOC: I didn't roll because I thought it wasn't possible to beat the 30 Siberys rolled. Also not sure if I should roll Listen instead of Gather info. since Ehren won't be talking to anyone on his 'fools errand' unless they give him reason to.(Moogleman, you could have rolled a Sense Motive check vs Siberys's Bluff. Since you forgot, I made one for you.)
Ehren
The barmaid directs you to a small shop a few blocks away, on the edge of the Commerce Quarter. She says it's meant mostly for mining equipment, but should have most of the things you need.
Sense Motive-1d20+3=20-Failed!
Ehren exited the inn and hastily made his way towards the commerce quarter, following the directions the serving girl had give him to find the shop he needed. I hope this mining shop has all the equipment we need, he thought to himself, I don't have time to waste searching the whole city.
Now that it was daylight and the citizens of Karnakiid City were out in abundance, Ehren kept his eyes an ears open for anything which may be of use.

Realizing that even Akumo is being more level headed than I am at this point, "Perhaps he is right. We've both said a few things we didn't mean, so I apologize.
Perhaps it is best you don't get caught up in this anyway, you are young and have your life ahead of you."
I return to my table (if and only if things are resolved with the barmaid, otherwise this next statement is null)-
"Back to matters at hand," I say issuing Elliah to sit down. I fill elliah in on the grand scheme of things I've laid out and why I've disincluded Ehren (i.e. I tell you the same thing I told them and don't really feel like typing it all up again
), "Overall this is my idea. My plan, and I could use the help.
Are you in?"

Elliah sat silently as the altercation took place, while Aesenyth dug her claws in, eyes wide and watching the barmaid. Things seemed to calm down, though, and once they did Shar'ra filled her in on exactly what the plan was.
"Are you in?" she asked.
"It would appear that I've become irreversibly involved despite my wishes or better judgement." She said with a resigned sigh "Yes, I am 'in' as you say, but what would you have me do, I wonder?"

Westan watched the scene with the serving girl unfold without saying much, though at points he looked like he wanted to interfere, but somehow he changed his mind. Either way he decided to speak out now and he addresses all of them,
Let's get moving before Ehren is back otherwise all the effort to misguide him was in vain. I don't appreciate the way we did it
... he makes a tiny pause and looks slightly disapproving towards Shar'ra ...
since trust is everything we have at this point, but nevertheless we should carry on with the only plan we have at this moment. I suggest we follow Elliah's address and when we arrive there we could split to assess the situation. Some of us could enter to speak with them, check the status, how are they organized, troop numbers, weaponry, positions and so on. Then we decide how we proceed further. Other opinions we should share on the road there. Also our beloved mister Akumo over here expects a payment for hiring his skills, so we might want to know beforehand how high are his expectations.
Westan turns his attention to Akumo looking for an answer.

"A fine idea. How about you three attend the meeting while I convince a government official to come and help set up this ambush?
I think it'll take a lot more to convince the authorities of a conspiracy than to convince a few loyalists to celebrate with drinks, no?"

"My price my long legged friend, is but a small one..." Akumo smiles, " I figure if we get close to one of big ol big shots, I'd get what I want"
Akumo begins to stroke his beard "Consider this job free of charge, thou just don't expect me to come empty handed if you know what I mean" The Dwarf winks and looks at Shar'ra.
"Sounds like we have a plan skinny one"

"As long as you don't compromise the mission, I couldn't care less," Shar'ra addresses Akumo.
@DM-
Sounds like everyone else is good to go with this, so I think (for the sake of moving the game along) you can assume that Elliah, Akumo, and Westan head to the address of the guards meeting and I head to the capitol building.

(Sorry for my sporadic posting lately; finals are right around the corner, so as I warned you, my posting won't be as frequent as we'd like.)
Westan, Elliah, and Akumo
The three of you make your way to the address given by the loyalist agents. Unsurprisingly, it takes you deep into the the city's slums, but fortunately, Akumo's familiarity with the surroundings allow you to bypass any trouble.
Upon your arrival about an hour later, Westan and Elliah notices one of the guards from last night (Elliah recognizes him as Darrick) standing in front of an old, burned-out structure. Had you not been specifically told to come to this location, you would have had no idea that there was any life here; whatever disaster struck this building had certainly done its number, leaving only the first level standing. The rest of it lies around it in a crumpled heap.
Westan Intelligence-Success!- Westan realizes that this building is constructed mostly out of wood, a sharp contrast to the stone and mudbrick surrounding the group on all other sides.
Darrick catches sight of your approach, and walks up to you. "Good morning, dwarf. I don't recall saying you could bring friends."
Elliah Listen-Success! Elliah swears she can here the sound of bowstrings being pulled taught...
Ehren
You find everything you need at the mining shop, and are charged 13 gold 5 silver for all of it. When you return to the inn, however, you are shocked to find it abandoned.
Shar'ra
The palace is easy to find; it stands on a hill int he center of the city, overlooking the populace. While its magnificence does not quite rival the Dragon King of the Wastes, it makes a close second.
Fortunately, you are the only visitor at the moment, so you are allowed inside with little fuss. "How can I help you, ma'am?" a receptionist asks as you are led into the atrium by a group of guardsmen.

(Darrick? Wasn't he Dannis before? Oh well.)
As she was approached by Darrick, she stiffened ever so slightly as Aesenyth suddenly dug her claws, her wings flaring slightly as she turned her head to search in the direction of the sound. Elliah could hear it too now, but not as well as her companion.
"I don't recall you telling me to come alone, ser Darrick. My companions here heard the tale of my encounter with you at the gate, and they wished to come with me to help." She said before reaching to try to calm her tressym. "Forgive my small companion, we weren't expecting such a hostile welcome, especially toward someone you've personally disarmed."

(God dammit, I did it again! Yes, MistSonata, you're correct, it was Dannis whom Elliah met last night. Darrick and Dannis are too names I find myself reusing constantly in different games, and I get them mixed up every. Single. Time. It had become something of a running joke in my games until I wasn't allowed to DM anymore.)
Elliah, Akumo, and Westan
Diplomacy-Success!- Dannis eases at Elliah's words. "True enough," he sighs. "Sorry, but have to careful. For all I knew, you could have been bringing a regiment of guards." He allows himself a small smile. "Not that it would have done much good. So, I presume you and your companions are interested in joining the revolution?"
Elliah Sense Motive- It seems as though Dannis is being honest.

Move Silently-Failure!- Your voice does not drop low enough, and out of the corner of your eye you notice some of your escorts hands inch toward their weapons.
Diplomacy-Success!- The receptionist's eyes widen. "Of course," she stammers. "Go right ahead. Captain Varyn should be in the barracks at the moment. Guards, please escort this woman to the captain immediately."
(If you react to the guards' suspicious movements, tell me. Otherwise, I'll continue.)

Good Sir, we are decent people who are interested in hearing more of your story, though probably is wiser to talk in private about such things. Maybe as a sign of mutual respect and trust you could also agree to return our weaponry. This would only look fair.

Since I have no proof that these guards are loyalists other than what I noticed out of the corner of my eyes, I'll try to be as nonchalant as I can when being escorted. I stay on my guard though (ready to react for defensive position -2 attack, +2 AC).
I follow the guards, listening and watching as best I can for any sudden movements from the two guards.

Spot- You notice nothing.
Dannis turns to you as you speak. "I'm afraid I can't," he says apologetically. "Everything from last night has already been moved to a secure location. "Besides, walking around these streets armed is suicidal without a warrant." He then points towards the burned-out wreck. "And you're right, we can't talk here. Come inside if you're interested."
Shar'ra
The receptionist stays at her post as the two guards silently lead you deeper into the palace. Its passages are narrow and winding, and you'd hate to have to navigate it on your own. Your attempts to appear unsuspecting are evidently successful, as neither of the guards react. However, after several minute, you hear one of the guards pull a dagger from it's sheath, trying to remain undetected. In a sudden motion, his arm darts to the side as he slashes his companion's throat. He then drops his dagger, going for his sword.
(I don't think you can take a defensive position like that. I'm pretty sure your options are either Combat Expertise, which you don't have, or total defense, which gives +4 AC at the expense of attacking that round.

No, you can "fight defensively" as a standard action. It actually gives a -4 to attack, not a -2 like I thought so I was wrong there, but essentially this only goes into effect -if- I attack them.
In fact, just as a rule of thumb since my breath weapon does not rely on attack rolls, you can pretty much always assume that I'm using this unless I state otherwise.
In game-
Initiative-
1d20+2
10+2 = 12
My actions (whether I go first or second)-
Free Action- Five foot step to dagger
Standard Action- Total Defense (+4 AC, no attack)
Move Action- Pick up dagger
Free Action- "I'm here to speak to the queen, not the guards, not the loyalists and not the captain. I take no sides, I'm loyal to no one. So...you wanna fight, or you wanna talk?" I say, holding the dagger defensively. "We could work something out."
Diplomacy-
1d20+12
12+12 = 24

(Ah, you're right. I apologize. For some reason that's never come up in my games.)
Guard is using: Chain Shirt, Longsword, Small Shield (Wood)
Guard: Initiative- 1d20+2= 9
Diplomacy- The guard spits at you (ranged touch: 1d20+2=21), hitting you squarely in the face with a glob of saliva. "It doesn't matter; you're too dangerous to be kept alive. As far as the queen knows, we're a myth, and it's gonna stay that way until we have a blade buried in her chest!"
Move Action- He draws his longsword. (This would provoke an AoO, but you are currently in Total Defense.)
Standard Action: (Power Attack: 1d20+3-1=14.) He makes a large, sweeping overhand cut with his longsword, which you easily dodge.
Everyone
(When combat begins, for my convenience could you supply your AC, as well as your attack and damage (for AoOs)? Also, is it alright if I assume you take AoOs when they are available?)
