I'm going to find a hole and hide myself...
:D I had about 12 before i realised ;) It is in options somewhere, also make sure that you don't subsribe to the thread, that way it shouldn't email you :)

Now, you didn't "shout" publicly, "It seems something doesn't work properly", did you? Of course not. Dah!

Who's new and old

The only thing thats missing is the member number (eg. mine was 1516, Thorins was 1222, Sleepys was 105...).

It's great! :)

If I could post some constructive feedback...
  • I miss the old smilies. ;)
  • Old quotes show "< STRONG >" tags where text used to be bold.
  • The HEIGHT and WIDTH of images is not set, which (I believe) causes pages to display text only after fully loading some images (most apparent in the "user cp - register - calendar - f.a.q. - search - home" line), and causes the page to "deform" for some time while all the images load.
Edit: Oh, and the "go to first unread post" button often takes me a couple of posts too far. This could be the result of me being online for too long (is that possible?).

If i recall my HTML correctly (which i should since it is my job :D ) it also slows down load times since the browser has to wait for a response as to how large the images are, rather than being told specifically :)

Buck, I like the new forum very much. I often used to have problems with the old one loading slowly (56K), this one one much faster, which is a major improvement. I also like the new features Who's online, the colour choices for posts and voting of threads.

However, I do miss the old smilies, they were much more expressive since they had different colours. I also don't like that maximun lenght of PM:s is 1000 chars, but if this improves board speed, I think the tradeoff is worth it.

In all, a very nice improvement Buck :)

Would it be possible to have an auto-resend on PM's when a persons box was full?

i say fix the smilies to better looking ones ( http://www.mysmilies.com ) and you are golden.

oh and turn off email notification when you are going to reply to a thread...either turn it off or change the template so that its off.

You can do this yourself in your profile, under edit options: "Use 'Email Notification' by default?" just set this one to no :)

It is very frustrating, when there is no moderators around, when you need questions answered. Especially, when you are new and want to know a few things.

ya, member # was cool i guess, but i think that having the date is much better, and the member # was kind of pointless because so many people who have registered never post. have you ever thought of getting rid of those un-posting people buck?

Getting rid of the lurkers? I don't think the Ultimate Lurker would do such a thing. :)

Pardon me, AR. I don't think those non-posting member should be removed. Removing non-posting member will make a certain gap upon regular posting member, non regular posting member and non-posting member :)

Forgive me to be blunt, in short sentence the option kinda sounds "absurd"
