Anyway, it is strange how Brandon Lee and Aaliya die before they can finish their movies. Maybe there is a darker side to this story...

I'm going to bump this by suggesting Alyson Hannigan for Imoen.

And can Fable please move this into SYM?

David Warner, after all he has been in some films like Tron

and isint Tron a great film (scarcasm)
The Rock as Sarevok

NO NO NO

can you see Sarevok saying ROODY POO and raising his eye brow

you silly thing

anywho my suggestion for Jan would be Wee man fae Jackass (he has been in films before)

and sean connery kinda looks like Keldorn and can do the ol' noble paladin bit well

I started a thread once, without knowing her name (found a portrait somewhere)

That girl IS Imoen

That's right, it was you who first saw this @Littiz.

I'd stay and chat, but I've got to raise my sprite child's magic to it's next level.

@ Littiz

I saw that thread. She played "Willow" the good witch on Buffy the Vamp Slayer. Yes, she did have some relation to Imoen in that picture!

Who was it that suggested Ben Afflec for Anomen? I'm sorry, I just lost all love for that actor...And seeing him playing my favorite NPC (Yes! I said it already! I LIKE Anomen!) ...I don't think I'd make it through the movie...

The Rock? As Sarevok? Roody Poo? Oh, the images! ;) :D

Alyson Hannigan is SO perfect as Imoen. Especially when you find out she is also a Bhaalspawn. Have you seen the most recent episodes of Buffy? That girl would play a convincing Sith Lord in Star Wars. She freaked me out!

A question no one has seemed to ask or answer: Who would be the lead character? And what kind of character would he or she be?

I would think a male fighter would be most likely, but who could play him? Chris Klein from American Pie, maybe?

By any chance have any of you read the BGII the book?
Well, I did, going into it imagining grand salvatore/greenwood style epic.

This book just plain sucks major ***, and has very little to do with the game. Here is the plot
Irenicus Dungeon->Brief Copper Coronet reference->Spellhold->Underdark->Suldenessalar->Final Battle

So before you start getting your hopes up, look at some BGII material already out. The movie would never be any more detailed. Just think, how much action takes place in any quest, and all the character interaction needed. We can't just have them all walking quiet. A movie wouldn't make it, but a t.v series or maybe an anime series.

Here are a few suggestions:

Jon Irenicus - David Warner
Nalia - Drew Barrymore
Minsc - Ralf Moeller (the German actor who played Conan on the TV series and the big gladiator in Gladiator)
Bodhi - Christine Ricci
Keldorn - Sean Connery
Jaheira - Michelle Pfeiffer
Cernd - Brendan Fraser
Sarevok - Michael Dorn

Did you ever see Conspiracy Theory with Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts and, uh, Patrick Stewart? He made a great villain. :)

This hypothetical bg movie sounds like a bad idea to me, for one you could never have many decent actors in one movie couse of the cost and what would happen then? All these nice characters being played by a bunch of fools

But the thing that troubles me is.. you make a game into a movie it starts to reek, it reeks of immediate failure

I mean did ANYONE actually pay money to see tome raider or final fantasy?

If they did, i bet they sat around for hours afterwards saying how wrong it was and how blah blah would never say blah blah blah

I mean you know the drill, If you go see a blah turned into movie... it will only annoy becouse it fell to short of what it could be
