What's a demon-mage? Demon is a race (or several, I guess) while Mage is a profession. And don't most demons throw at least a few spells?

Here are my top 5 1/2:
1. Gold Dragon - The most powerful of the good dragons!
2. Pit Fiend - A Baatezu Pit Fiend, not Tanar'ri
3. Illithid/Mind Flayer - They rock.
3 1/2. Githzerai - Dak'kon ruled in Torment, but not really a "monster".
4. Beholder - An Elder Orb or something.
5. A male nymph - so I could pick up all the chicks!!!

I used to kill mooses in the Umar hills.
An elf or a dragon. Ideally a pearl dragon (yeah I know there's no such thing), but an elf would be cool too.

Ogres are cool. I always liked beating up on them in PnP, and I found it was even more fun in BG with their cool battle cries (followed closely by the for-some-strange-reason cool Hobgoblin voice).

Okay, ogres and dragons are cool, no doubt. But I'd be a REAL monster, a Bargda from the D and D Creature Catalog, released later than the Fiend Folio
Bargda are the epitome of monsterdom, a 12 HD twisted dominator with a poison bite, foul smelling sickly green skin, a skull-crushing club, a distorted ram's head, and a belly full of hate.... sure to strike fear into neighborhoods of 12 year old gamers.
But if we're sticking to beasts found in SoA of ToB, I'd be a greater mummy-woe be the adventurer who tips my entrail jars!
And to stretch it, I'd be Jan without a doubt
