Go nuts. We need more capybaras in SYM anyway.Originally posted by Locke Da'averan
@Kayless mind if i put the capybara as my avatar???
Pain, blood, and muscles are manly. Just watch any action film and see for yourself.Originally posted by C Elegans
LOL I have some problems to see the manly connection here:
pain, muscle, blood - that's universal for most animal life on earth, including humans
Mechanical work is manly.Originally posted by C Elegans
engine, truck - "energy converters" and a vehicle, hey, I didn't know mechanical constructions have a gender
Men like the sound of the word. Men like words such as robust, steel, and barge. Words that are hard and fast (like a man's concept of ideal sex).Originally posted by C Elegans
robust - eh, and adjective that could be used on anything?
Men like military things (tanks, bazookas, etc.)Originally posted by C Elegans
infantry - foot soldiers, yeah, there are mostly men, in most countries? Although some countries also use women and/or children
The best James Bond, and therefore the quintessential man.Originally posted by C Elegans
Connery - Sean? Yeah, he is a man I suppose - haven't checked inside his trousers though
What indeed.Originally posted by C Elegans
wrench - what is that?
Womanly words? Most french words. Words like faberje', bubble, cuddle, champagne, shampoo. As for childish words; any derivative of poop. Like doo doo, pooh, crap, etc.Originally posted by C Elegans
Hm, this is all very confusing. What about contrasting the manly words with "womanly" words and "childish" words?
That reminds me, quote from "coupling":Originally posted by Kayless
et's see, manly words... truck, pain, wrench, muscle, Connery, robust, blood, engine, infantry. Oh and capybara. .
Just to edit a bit, we don't like lingerie.Originally posted by Stilgar
That reminds me, quote from "coupling":
The 4 pillars of mannhood
- Whe like naked woman
- Whe like lesbians
- Whe like lingerie(sp?)
- Whe like Sean Connery as James Bond
It’s funny because it’s true.Originally posted by Stilgar

Yeah, I suppose tea is okay. As long as you don't drink it with your pinky in the air, aristocrat style.Originally posted by CM
And tea for those of us who don't drink beer!![]()
Nice save. I should also note that lingerie is another girly word. When it comes to underwear men like boxer shorts.Originally posted by CM

We like women wearing lingerie.![]()
Yes it is semantics, but damn saying stuff like that can be dangerous!![]()

Actually, I prefer it when women aren't wearing lingerie.Originally posted by CM

Very true. Men like female nudity.Originally posted by CM
Frogman, i think butt naked is a very manly word esp. in reference to a woman being butt naked!![]()
Quite asute Colombo. Your detective skills have earned you a lifetime supply of shine! Take a bow, you've earned it!Originally posted by CM
To add if CE wants to have a intellectual discussion, you will noticed most of the words frogman used are cacophonic. Wrench, truck etc. Or they imply hard solid unbeakable things. Try breaking a wrench, damn hard to do.
While all the girly words are euphonic and emphasize the more softer tones and aspects of society and stuff. It is too early for this.
Heh, take your time. Choosing a capybara is a big decision.Originally posted by Locke Da'averan
@Kayless i resized the one you posted earlier, hmm have to think which one to use...![]()
Rather have a life time supply of tea, but ah who cares really!Originally posted by Kayless
