I had actually guessed it was something like that, just not the particulars, at a guess it is picking one's nose...close? :D

close! but not right. you want another clue or do you think you can guess again.

BTW-I often browse over a book called "Dictionary of Difficult Words." There are a few other words Ive memorized from that book. So I could give you a hard time, Sleep! :D

Well now that you mention it i do no what it means, i was just bluffing (yeah right :rolleyes: :D ) Well there are both good and bad points (no pun intended) to biting one's nails, it can cause pain and disfigurement but can at times save one from another excrusiating pain. For instance a friend of mine used to bite his nails all the time and eventually the skin grew around it so his nails were more imbedded, only later did this help him. He was moving some funiture when the funiture in question hit his hand, now if he had finger nails it would have removed them entirely and the nail bed, but due to his lack of nail it saved him from a great deal of pain and a long time recovery.

At the same time not having nails looks silly and childish, nails are also quite often a definition of stress levels, people will often chew their nails when under stress. Avoid people with chewed nails ;)

LMAO :D I will have to do this tomorrow when i am more lucid, i might have to refer to a dictionary or something, or just make up soem blurb based on the word itself; breaking it up.
