95% of music videos are crap, even those by good bands. Some good/decent one of the top of my head:

Testify: Rage Against the Machine
Enter sandman: Metallica
Some Smashing Pumpkins ones.
Song 2- Blur, fast short and a great song too!
A DJ remix kinda music video, new one, with the Nose head doing all the break dancing and all- funny!

There more, just can't think of them right here, right now, right here, right now, right here, here heeree... :D

Creed videos....Creed is an amazing band, and they write amazing songs. I can't even describe them. I vote Korn for most freaky videos :D

Actually some of the best things I've seen are when people take their favourite TV shows, movies, etc, and put the memorable scenes into the music videos. Some of those nearly brought immense emotion.

The Strokes - Someday. A nice little video that shows an intimate view of the band off stage.

Oh and I remember seeing a video with a teddy bear who sends a little stuffed rabbit into a traumatic depression. I was watching this late at night with Georgi and Ode, and its had a strange impact on my outlook of stuffed toys. Can't remember the name of the band though.

Absolutely brilliant video, one of my favourites ever.

I don't think any one has mentioned Q-Tip's Do It, the first time I saw this video I couldn't believe the sheer amount of flesh on show, I mean wow! It slowly occurs to the viewer that this video is different to all the other "Bling Bling" fast women videos, they give the females a kind of personality, they are individuals (okay individuals with very few clothes ;) ) Not the height of class and taste but certainly one of the better videos from the hip hop/rap genre.

A-ha's...

...Take on Me.

I love the song, the "cartoon-like" presentation, and the girl is beautiful in her simplicity. :)

*bump!* :D

Well recently I saw the video "King In A Catholic Style" by China Crisis....that video is whacky...but the most memorable part, and it sticks out massively, is the constant opening of a head that is shown in profile. Its weird...and all these images of dreams....it really doesnt lack imagination...

The Bauhaus "Ziggy Stardust"....one disturbing video...Bauhaus were the doorway to goth, and they were not afraid to show it in their video for their biggest hit. Caged people fighting to break free, while the band sang in a sewer as people in black flocked to them...No one will deny that the Bauhaus contributed majorly to the Gothic movement.

I agree on all accounts. I really enjoyed the animation techniques and the smoothness with which they were deployed. The song is a really fine one, and for once we get a music video that doesn't feature every pretentious directing trick in the book: it's just plain fun. :)

I agree, fable. A-ha was one of my fave. Their "Take on me" lyric also somewhat intriguing. But as Mah stated the idea of cartoon mix on the video clip is realy genious.

A j-pop singer video clip also interesting : Matsu Takako - Sakura no ame itsuka. Presented in black and white with somewhat flashes of generations in it :)
