@CE Wow! Thats a great picture. It makes me want to actually go out and draw it.

I love the flock of gulls taking off there...Is this near where you live, or no?

@TYb: Thanks!

No, it's not at all near where I live, it's not that cold here. It's halfway to you, it's from the North West coast of Greenland, near the Disko bay. I was travelling in a small motorboat among the ice bergs when I shot the pic.

) and were there other nice pictures you took on the trip? I dont know howd Id be able to cope that kind of cold in a motorboat!

Whoah CE...that's a gorgeous picture. I'm still waiting for my mum to scan in these pictures of mine, 'cos there's no scanner at Uni here. I've got a picture of sunrise over Delphi that I took on a panoramic when I was in Greece last October, and a view up of one of the churches in the Kremlin. Would it be OK if I posted my pictures here first, and got reactions before entering one? They're both colour non-figurative, you see...

OK, I've finally managed to get the photos scanned in. They're not the best quality scans - I wasn't there when they were done, so I had no input, but I hope they capture the essence of the photographs. The one I've entered is of a sunrise over the ancient Greek site of Delphi. The other, which I've attached here since I can only enter one colour-figurative picture, is of a Russian basilica in the Kremlin, in Moscow. I could change them around - it depends what you all think

Thanks, man

I'm so proud of that picture - it's my favourite by far...annoyingly, the aspect ratio on it got changed in the scan - it's meant to be longer and thinner. I don't think it changes the picture any, though

I prefer the church - I think it shows more photographic skill, rather than just getting the opportunity to take a great photo (although of course spotting opportunities is half of photography)...Anyway, what can I say? I'm a sucker for Orthodoxy...

If you are a papparazzo, then by all means, enter one of your photos in colour figurative
PS - Which reminds me, @HLD something tells me that you did not take that third photo...
