Aremah, completely off topic and can I direct you to the forum rules.

Specifically:

#4 - Advertisements for your website or another forum should not be posted, except in your signature. The only other exception to this rule is if the link is to a page that answers the original poster's question.

Interesting post though, please try and phrase it differently or talk to Buck.

Uh... Sure I want it, didn't write it all for nothing, if you could PM me I'd be grateful. The funny thing is, it was not advertising - I am not associated in any way with the author of the mod, and I only came around the mentioned page two days ago. And while it was a bit off-topic, it wasn't entirely that (since the conversation turned to IWD2 boring people, and my post was about how it could possibly turn more interesting).

And to be formal, it's not my website and it's not another forum, and it does partially answer someone's post (two's post of being bored with the game). I don't see how I've done anything wrong. Would you have left it had I not given the URL? Or had it been in my signature? Because that's just needless formality (but I do have to oblige since I signed up).

I have no way of verifying your affiliation with the authors of the mod and your post read like an advertisement. I also like to keep spam to a minimum in here whilst remaining curteous - like I said, I kept the text to save you the bother of typing it out again.

We have had problems with 1 hit wonders who pop up to advertise their site. Needless formality? That's one good definition of rules.

Since this is a thread about soloing IWD2, I felt it appropriate that perhaps a link to a discussion about a BG2 mod should be elsewhere and perhaps referenced in this thread.

I am sure there are plenty of people who will be pleased to hear about your link. Keep up the good work, thanks.

I see your point. It's in my signature now, so that's that, but not many people will actually check it out. I'll try to find a good place to make a new thread (it's an IWD2 mod, not a BG2 mod to be exact, and given I haven't seen any mod-specific forum, I think a new thread on this forum would be fine, but I'll look into it). Anyways, at least now I know what NOT to do
