I use Iridur. And a surname. Such as Iridur Morningblade, Iridur Lonerider (for solo), Iridur Spellsword (for F/M) or Iridur Skullcrusher for my barbarian...
Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.

Hey, its a roleplaying game after all, so if you can identify your personality with someone called Fat Boy Erik, no problem for us :D

(Oh boy.... Fat Boy Erik. I think this guy had some sort of food trauma. Go and see a shrink. Now!) :p

Ha ha, humurous names are cool. I've used humorous names in Pen and Paper RPGs - Sloonge the Appalling and Sneaky Pete were two of them. My Everquest Rogue (newly planar, woo hoo!) is named Badkat (well, she is a cat, and she's certainly bad...)

Current BGII PCs - Felagund, Male Dwarven Kensai/Thief multi - from LoTR - and Lilith Female half Elven Kensai/Mage multi -from Adam's mythical first wife. Yes, I have a thing for Kensai :p
I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.

I only have two characters that I'm using right now,

Travis- Human Fighter

Kala- Human Paladin

I've played through BG1 with Travis twice because I lost my first file when my mom's computer crashed, but I don't really mind because his stats are better. :D
I wanted to change my sig, but I can't think of anything to change it to :(

I generally choose serious names, and the most often used are thus:

Berakailen (Illusionist. Berakailen's the Lord of Shadows in one of the many stories I write)
Ertihan (Lord Erty's a rather pompous autocrat, so this one's a Cavelier)
Verx (the Swamp Lord. Necromancer)
"Unlimited technology from all over the universe, and we cruise around in a Ford POS."
- Agent J, Men in Black

Do you feel the Call?

Hehe... you say identify your personality with the name?? so if your name was, fx, jackass, that means you are an jackass?? or am just getting your theory wrong..?

But no.. Fat boy Erik, was a DWARF... And my image of a dwarf, in D&D , is a short, fat man, with an ill temper! :D (bit like korgan  )

i'm not in denial about my weight! :p

The term RPG means Role Playing Game. Role Playing means that you form the character yourself (like in a movie where the director would say: "i have a setting for a movie, now you have to create a story and a main role"), instead of playing a person that is premaded by the games' developer. Most people form the character based on their own personality. If you are rather sneaky yourself, you'll find more joy in playing a thief than a goody-goody paladin. Altough choosing silly names can be fun sometimes :)

Well yes, ok, you are right about that...

But i creat the chars as I would like to be myself, if I were the dude running around in Baldrus Gate....

But the name, i really don't give a crap, as long as it's one i like or find funny...

Just cant help laughing, when an Flaming Fist soldier asks Jaheira. "are you the party of Fat Boy Erik??" :D
Almond Joy is my favorite. Sometimes I use Milky Way, Snickers, Rollo, Skittles (is usually a thief/rogue), Laffi Taffi, and the mage is always Tutti Fruitti.
hahaahahah heeee heee hoo hoo

thats hilarious, i try to make my names more serious,

like if its a dude, its either Barrin (MTG) Urza (MTG) or Dash (my name)

if it be a dudette then Kalay, Elena, or Jaina (war3)

Perscription drug names are great

Check out all the cool names you can choose from just by looking at a list of perscription drugs. Just flipping thru a recent copy of a news magazine I came up with Zocor, Alegra, Viagra, Vioxx, Cialis, Lamisil, Enbrel, Crestor, Astra Zeneca, Plavix, Remic (short for Remicade), or Levitra (aka Vardenafil). Imagine what you could come up with from a full blown drug reference guide.
