Well according to the test I'm ever so slightly liberal and left, but that isn't me at all, I reiterate that this test is silly

*bump*
Economic Left/Right: 3.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 2.46
I'd have to say this is fairly accurate.

It tends to be more accurate the more you stick to party lines, and less accurate if you have a divers, complex set of beliefs.

Well, I'm pretty principled in my beliefs which may come across as sticking to party lines but I assure you the political party that I've chosen to join doesn't dictate my beliefs...my beliefs dictate my choice in party.

I wasn't implying that you were a party dupe, only that you agree mostly with what the party stands for, as opposed to not fitting a party well..

Since DW linked to this thread in the other political test thread I *bump* it.
My results:
Economic Left/Right: 1.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.82
And on the other one:
West-You are a Westerner-a civil libertarian-which means that you advocate a diminished role for the government in the personal realm. You are more or less pleased the government's role in the economic realm.

On this test I got
Economic left-right: -7.75
Libertarian/authoritarian: -6.26
And on the other one:
South west: You advocate a large degree of personal freedom and a large degree of government control over the economy

I thought I posted my scores before, but I don't see them, so here are the results I got today:
Economic Left/Right: -0.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.18
I guess one way to characterize the answers I gave today is this: ordinary people should be free to pursue life, liberty, and wealth, but very powerful people and organizations should not be allowed to exercise their power without restrictions. My answers would have been a lot more pro-business if I felt that people in business could be trusted to do what's good for the country, not just what's good for them. By the same token, my answers would have been a lot more libertarian if I felt that people needed a little less help from the government to realize their own potential.

Are you suggesting we should be holding a SYM "coming out" party?

I think it would take more than Tom Selleck kissing me to admit I'm a pinko. (By the way, the movie was In & Out).
