SMARTIES! Smarties are the answer!

They are nothing like M&Ms! They come in lots of different colours and in little tubes. On inside lid of every tube is a letter of the alphabet and one always tries to guess what letter it will be.

Most people empty out the tube and colour sort them into little piles. Blue smarties only appeared here in the UK some years ago. When I was a kid, they didn't exist probably because the manufacturer thought that blue chocolate was too crazy an idea.

They remind me of childhood. I wish I had never left childhood....

And then you can collect all the letters and make words out of them - yummy and edumicational.

Unfortunately I did.

Council tax, career, solicitors, menstruation, estate agents, etc - none of these things figured large in my childhood....

But smarties did, ha, ha! Thank God for smarties.
