I found Nalia so aesthetically(sp?) displeasing when I first picked her up that I immediately dropped her for Anomen. But, I'm not all that impressed by Drew either.

True, when first meeting someone, size does apply in the "possibility for future relationship beyond friendship" equation, but when it is said that "size does matter," that is generally referring to "bigger is better," which definitely isn't always true. Why is it that men who think bigger is better automatically assume that a guy who doesn't think bigger is better is either gay or lying?

It's a general observation, Saturn. Oh all right, I'm stereotyping. Not all men are masculine, but I think those possessed of strong masculinitiy find it psychologically difficulty to relate to the above viewpoint that a full-bodied woman with a Penelope Cruz figure, Britney Spears breasts, and a Jennifer Lopez body is NOT desirable as a woman with none of these attributes. It goes against everything their groin is telling them.

I prefer a female smaller in over-all stature, with a form that nicely compliments her height evenly. And I assure you that I am neither gay or lying. Such females generally offer an as yet unmentioned qaulity of appeal, flexibility. Something that size tends to hamper..

That explains everything, I think. Though, as a woman who loves both men and women, I still don't understand the fascination so many men seem to have with tall slender women with big breasts.

Perhaps it's because they wish they were tall women with large breasts?

Seriously though, it's the media.. Look around.

Also, I think womens taste in women differ from mens taste in women. That much, I agree with the guys on. However, I must say that I cannot stand super large breasts. Anything over a 36-c is a waste of space.

As far as my personal favorite between the BG2 ladies.. (I have not completed the game yet, YES I am a relative BG2 newbie.)

..I like Aerie due to the fact that she looks and sounds very petite and relatively submissive (or atleast accomidating), but not so much so that she wouldn't speak her mind if she felt used, or wronged. (Hence her breaking it off if you choose to sleep with her the first time.)

I do however believe she has a very very bad victim complex and has some "issues".. Kinda scary. A little baggage there? Also, her nubs are a rather unattractive image.. I could overlook that assuming she is what she appears to be everywhere else. (Quite attractive indeed.)

And, since the PC is her first love, I think it would be very possible that you could help her through her issues (assuming you're that type of guy), and possibly get her to change some of her whiney victim mindset ways. (Good luck)

Jaheira, on the other hand.. Also very attractive in the face, and probably very very earthy in the body. Muscular, tough, but not so much so that it would make her look unappealing.. Sporty? Yeah. Woodsy? Sure.. I doubt this is the type of woman to shave her armpits, legs, or anything else.

Jaheira has a nice voice, but it is rather commanding.. Not that it is a bad thing. She does have the dead husband baggage working against her, but, again, as with Aerie, that could be worked through. (Everybody has issues of some sort.. EVERYBODY).

Bodhi, I don't understand how you guys could even consider that.. Very.. Very.. Very.. Very.. Very.. Very.. Bad. She has funked out hair and blood on her chin, and her voice sounds like she just got mounted by a whole pride of lions then coked herself out of her mind, and liked it. I think that was a not-so-subtle sign by the designers to keep off.

Her body may be relatively decent.. But can you really trust it? I mean.. Is THAT what you would want to wake up to in the morning? I think not.. Not any sane man, that is..

Nalia, I think is trash. Snobby, ignorant, immature do-gooder.. She needs a reality check. You think she looks like Drew Barrymore? hrrm.. Okay, maybe if you tied Drew to the back of a pickup by her leg and drug her across a long stretch of bumpy highway.

She looks washed out. Completely skanky. I see the connection you make to Drew..But part of what makes Drew attractive is that she is CUTE. I don't think Nalia pulls off the "cute" thing in the least. If you actually look at Drews face, hair, and body.. It's not that great. Her cuteness goes a long way, and gives her that appeal.

Imoen is annoying as well. I just dislike her in general. Could just be me, because I can't put my finger on it. I don't like her dialoge, or voice I think.. Also, her picture doesn't look attractive (in my eyes). I don't see the appeal there, but as expressed.. she's your half sister.. so, no look, no touch anyway.

Viconia is a tramp. Straight up. She's a Drow!! Evil. Manipulative. Destructive.. She would sleep with anybody. I'm sorry, but I couldn't possibly justify sleeping with her. And trying to form a relationship with her would be insane.

Mazzy however... Mazzy is small, (petite), she is PRETTY. Not sexy, not cute.. But PRETTY. (I think). She also has a certain charm about her, in my opinion. Her voice is nice and her picture isn't too bad.. She's a little exotic, but there's nothing wrong with that. She's like a little firecracker, in a way.. but very very innocent mindset, but also very powerful, and I don't sense much baggage with her.. Nor is she trampy. In fact, she seems very pure.

I personally do not think she is the most physically appealing, but her other qualities make up for it. The only thing you could call her on is that she's small due to her halfling nature, and her feet may be a little larger than normal (and somewhat hairy).. But, assuming you were looking for a long term commitment and not just some one night stand.. I think Mazzy would be a good choice.

But.. That's just my opinion. Sorry for making my first post a book.. I just couldn't pass this one up.

Great post EtherImp! You must be a writer, since you displayed the perfect blend of serio-comedy necessary in such an oddball thread as this.

In defence of Bodhi... Physically, I think she exudes a kind of attraction that appeals to the primal instincts in men. I get the feeling she would take you to heights of pleasure and pain that you never even imagined you could reach. I also sense you can play out your rawest sexual fantasies with her without a word of complaint or hesitation escaping from her lips (applause, perhaps). She is, after all, a vampire, a creature of pure carnality, possessed of no soul and, consequently, no moral restraint. But the attraction, I believe, is undeniable.

You could do just the same things with Viconia since she IS a drow after all member of one of the most evil races in Faerun,and she is living,flesh and blood and not a frozen corpse sister to your torturer,right?

Why all this crap about figure and stuff u people should go for what the NPCs are and not their looks.

From what I've hard about Drow females, that could apply to Viconia, too.

Funny thing is, both Viconia and Bodhi were once Elvish. Come to think of it, all the male romances in BG2 involve women with Elvish blood in their veins.

IIRC, the Drow once lived in the world of light before they first lost their purity and were driven into the Underdark by their surface cousins. It's strange that Drow complexion would be black, since you can't get tanned if you live miles underground. The change in their skin pigmentation is thus metaphoric of their change in moral character. Unlike the ogre species, whose spiritual and physical degeneration went hand in hand, the dark elves retained the unearthly beauty native to their species. Evil did not corrupt them externally. In this sense Bodhi, too, can be regarded "Drowish," since she kept her Elvish appearance but was wholly ruined on the inside.
