yes, horses were discussed earlier in this thread (i think it was this thread) and everybody agrees with you, it would be awesome. anothother thing carts.... which I am thinking would slow your horse down, but give you ons more cargo compasity, and boats. all of these were in the previous version of Elder Scrolls, daggerfall, which took place on a much larger continent. I was thinking about these 'towns' with like 7 houses and fifty some people... crazy stuf no? bigger towns. mournhold was PUNY. seyda neen with a big tempal and walls.

Also think how many people work in Vivec City. There are about 12 houses there. Still since Morrowind's residents don't need sleep I guess its ok.

Yeah, another thing... I think Vivec should be wiped off the map in the next one. Hee hee.
And I would prefer a pack horse to a cart... But I wouldn't mind having both options. And I talked about having "friends", which I think it'd be cool if you could get people to travel with you. Like, you could say, "I've got to go to such-and-such a cave and retrive this certain item, but I'm scared to go alone," and they'd be like, "Got an extra horse? Sure! I'll go!" And yeah... It'd be great. Heh heh.

not wiped off the map.. but for petes sake get rid of all the loading scenes inbetween the cantons! But yes, more NPC's, actual living spaces for NPCs, more creative NPCs , ya it all centers around NPCs. Im really looking forward to the polotical/religios chaos that USUALLY follows 2 gods dying and an emperor being overthrown, because i relaly think that 'unrest in cyrodil city' will result with septim whatshisface dying... this means that telvani will be supreme, because unlike the now dominant hllalu they expect the empire to crumble and dont care either way about it. if anybody has read 'a breif history of the empire' you will know that this place is riddled with war and conflict, shifty alliances and broken treaties. fun!!! there should be so many factions to join in the next game... booyah. We telvani of the magic mushrooms will take over the world! It would be great to see large scale battles going on... even somehitng of 40 soldiers would be refreshing. I think new consoles and computers would have the capabilities to run that by the time its out, dont you? even this last one took 5 years.

I agree, I think armies would be cool. I still think it'd be cool to be able to rule your own little province or something in Morrowind, and have to defend it from other invading enemies. Which would require... Alliances. Creating an army. Planning battles and reinforcements... But that's just wishful thinking. It'd have to be a whole 'nother game. Which is why other games exist...

The least they could let you do is design your own mansion... I found that to be VERY VERY frustrating, I work so hard and all I get is this little place I could have stolen on my own much more conveniently. blargh. and I cant even ask those morons what the devil they are doing in my house!!! and i would like to boss my guards around... i pay 1000 drakes for a guard and I want him to do more than stand there. like the mead hall in thirsk, i can send them to hunt for me, order more beer, or give me money. like that only a larger variety of commands.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I mean, your the head of every Guild and House and you can't give anyone orders?

I think you can semi-give orders to fast eddie, your mouth in house telvanni. he will get you two sweet items... but thats about it as far as I know... I would like to be given a contract to take out King Helseth when I am the boss of the Morag Tong, or be given a list of NPC's I have come across that I want taken out. LOL that would be great!!!!!!!! 'gaenor has been giving me some trouble... I would like you to eliminate him, take ten of your finest men' LOL!!!!!! yes, hte sad part is i am actually getting my hopes up for this unrealistically... and thats bad, I dont want a let down. Its one thing to except a lot from, say, Fable, who has given you a lot to expect from it via advertisements and interviews with the makers, but to make up features of a game and expect them to start hoping for them? sigh....

I copy and pasted one of my old posts that I thought would be useful in this thread:
I would make like an undead character (WarCraft 3? The Undead....Like the Lich Hero)and these would be the bonuses:
Conjuration 15
Destruction 10
Alteration 10
Blunt Weapon 5
Illusion 5
!REMEMBER! The skills points have to add up to 45 like all the other races....
...and magicka = 10.0 x INT
They would have a increase in Intelligence and Willpower, but their Personality would start at 10 because everyone is afraid of this race, they run away when they see them, but creatures just attack, but their disposition with other people in this race would always at least be 60. And their Speed would start at 30 because they don't actually have legs or feet. And since people run away, this race has its own city underground which can be accesed by a trap door at these places:
Meldor, Armorer, Balmora
Halfway Tavern, Pelagiad
End of the world, Dagon Fel
Dirty Muriels Cornerclub, Sadrith Mora
Under Skaar, Ald'ruhn
The little prison, Arvs-Drelen, Gnisis
Underworks, Foreign Quarter
And their "Underworld" would also have 3 Great Houses, But only 12 main cities, 4 for each house. The houses would be called:
Great House Madoch (warriors)
Great House Marlo (theives)
Great House Mentrith (mages)
But the houses wouldn't be rivals, they would stick together, but they are just there so everyone can feel in their place, also everyone in their houses would like them with a disposition of 100, all the time.
The missions would concern destroying the world above, but you wouldn't literally destroy it, you would just trick each house into getting really mad with each other and causeing war with each other, and the mages guild would fight Telvanni, and Morag Tong would fight the Dark Brotherhood....like re-awaken their hates for each other.
But incase you did want to go up there into the other cities, when you first visit the Underworld, you will have a home givin to you in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in the Red Mountain Region, where there would be a ring, which you could use to make you look like a living person, you choose the race, but remember, dont wear it into the Underworld because the Undead race will attack anyone not of their race, and when in living state, you wouldn't be allowed to wear enchanted pants, skirts or shoes, and you not allowed to wear greaves or boots....because if you do, you be unable to move, like you were paralyzed.
But with the ring you could still do the Main quest and all the other guilds, but you will always a home in the Underworld.
But in the main quest I would make it possible to join Dagoth ur, and you two would literally raise hell on earth, and all the other cities would send armies to stop you but you easily kill them, and when your in you real state, peasents would run away from you, whereas stronger people would attack e.g guards....
Also remember that there are dungeons in the Underworld where you should go to get treasures.... and one more thing, there would be a main quest which would be to bring the Undead together, and start their rivalry again with the Hugh Grants,..uh, I mean Imperials, and you would enslave them etc.
So lets go over this again...
-Nice Skill Bonuses.
-HUGE Magika Boost.
-Low PER and SPD, but high INT and WIL.
-Can't wear shoes, boots, greaves, pants or skirts because you are like floating.
-Ring to make you look like a living person.
-Another ring which you get during the "Main Quest 2" which has a spell to posses someone for 600 secs.
-A house in red mountain.
-Nice huge Underworld, Undead Capital.
-3 new Houses that are NOT rivals.
-A cool 'Lich' like character, just that you dont have legs but you have this permanent skirt thing... but you hve to mix good with the bad...
-LOADS of new quests.
-Different types of architecture for each house's cities.
-Annoying thing of not wearing leg stuff, but again, mix the good with the bad....
Was this a good enough idea?
Critisim is welcome....

criticism.... well it woudl be fun, but here are a few things.
1. Everything in the Elder Scrolls series have been synonymous... they all tie together perfectly, there are no races in the game that just seem to pop up in one game and arent even mentioned in another. You would think you would hear of a race of undead, because lets face it. a community that stretches from Dagon Fel to Vivic is not going to be kept secret, and you said they are frightened of the race... well that implies to me that since they are liches and they arent attacked on sight, that they are known of... maybe if you could be a daedra! remember the bad daedra are always messing with the mortal plane, and it would kind of fit in with that.... and its not like Oblivion hasnt been heard of in every single other game... also it wodl be interesting because being a daedra!!!!! how awesome does that sound? maybe a special daedra... ok but this is getting off topic. moving on.
2 a race that has insanely strong magical talents (eventually you could get your magica up to 1,000, and with the mantle of woe, 5,000. with the various charms and rings even I have collected, 10,000) that wants to cause chaos over the world. They are highly organized, work together, and have 14 major cities? well why dont they just invade? they wouldnt have a problem. with 45 conjuration, even their wimpy guys could summon 10 ancestral ghosts and lob a few fireballs, and the lich lords would be on par with our nevarine characters.... wow. oh and the personality drop you have put in to make it more even... doesnt that get eliminated with the special ring that turns you into a normal person? if elves can be called normal...
3. I am assuming because you refer to joining Dagoth Ur that you would want it in this version of morrowind... but would your liches start the game differently? follow a different prophecy? or would he have his magic ring on from the start when you get off the boar in peligalad. did he come from prison? or did the liches understand the threat to the world as well as anyone else and send up their own champion while the upworlders were to busy in their petty quarels? interesting twist...
4 this would be at least doubeling the world size, making it an even huger program than before... but hey this is only a problem for us xboxers, and i was thinking about a two disk deal anyway if that would be possible.
5. is this a semi-vampire thing? people pretty much hate you, and some will even attack you, you have your own clan/great house system going on (only this analogy would require berne and quarra to be friends... LOL!!!!!! and i wouldnt be an abomonable 'mistake') and have their whole own thing going on, quests etc?
6. are they really angling to destroy the world? or are they just slarge-scale mischeif makers? setting brotherhood against morag tong... this sounds fun, assasing guilds duking it out... but is there a greater conspiracy? a reason behind pitting great houses against one another?
Ok well I think it woudl be a really fun idea, it would be very very interesting to be able to mess with the other NPC's liek that... lol, i am grandmaster morag tong so i would loooovvvveeee to go blow the living crap out of the dark brotherhood and have a reason for it. i always thought my predecessor was way to soft on them.

i think id be cool if you could visit the black marsh and the province of elsweyr and see how the beast peoples of morrowind live and what kind of things they do differently.
And lo ye must learn of the great war that raged fo a couple of posts and brought the citadel momentaraly to its knees
Lookie!
I tend to appear briefly and disappear very quickly after that, try not to let it bother you.

D And D
it would have to be more dungeons and dragons like. With slings and more races.
You could have you're own house(a real own house not one that you steal) or plane . There should be trolls and dragons(who speak) And you could ride a horse or mule or guar. And you could be at the end a god and then play futher like one. I mean GREAT options.

More interfaces for certain races. Though what you look doesn't make a real diff in the game, I was disappointed that with the few faces that the Orcs did have were not only completely ugly but weren't even intimidating which is the whole point of being an Orc.
More uses for the different magics. It doesn't really matter whether you choose fire, ice, bolt, or poison. Other games have things like armor you get and monters that absorb certain harmful magics that end up healing them.
More monsters for that matter.
A wider variety of spells. I mean being able to edit your spells is fun and all, but I mean things like an aura of fire that damages nearby enemies.
Necro spells. =)
Battles really aren't all that difficult. I don't remember a time where I had trouble sitting there clicking the attack button over and over or using an infinate supply of healing potions. I think I'd like more strategy put into the fights, maybe that's why I use so much stealth.

I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

Might as well speak out my thoughts on this topic.
The ability to buy/rent a house. Real estate salesmen in every town. So that you can have a house acquired by legal means.
More advanced combat. Combo attacks with melee weapons, firing multiple arrows at once but with less accuracy, a block-mode that boosts your block skill but is deactivated when you attack.
Packmules! If you forget to feed it expect a kick in your lower back.
And of course some things earlier mentioned by many,
Less generic NPCs
E.g *clicks topic 'Background'* "I'm Barenziah, Queen Mother. Would you like a drink my lord?" (<--- totally true)
More Mark spots.
Horses! Or dragons... Both are equally suited... Something to travel by instead of walking and instant teleporting...
