Mine is

Deodand, human female Kensai multied to Mage. The name is an archaic legal term meaning "instrument of death" - which she certainly is  - it's also a type of monster used by Jack Vance in his delightful Dying Earth books.
I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.

Kiad'je - a Half-Orc Barbarian. I just like it.

My favorite would have to be:

Asiliar: Male, half-elven Sorceror.
Saramin: Female, human Priest of Helm.
Lokken: Male, half-elven Invoker.
Tirinal: Male, human Assassin.

Would that be Lokken as in Lokken the necromancer from ta kingdoms?? (though he is more of an invoker than a necromancer)

I find "asjkhd" makes a fine name in a pinch. I also use "Kivan" after....well......Kivan from BG1. I was so sad that he didnt make it into BG2 that I brought him in anyways. I use his portrait all the time (its the most badass of them all) so its fitting.

Also making appearances are all of my friends names and other random people ive meet. Usually if the character resembles them any.

Usally I found out name to my characters by myself, it's more fun that way.

There's something sweet and satisfying about having a gnome named Aunt Petunia kicking Irenicus' butt into the abyss. I just wish this game had the legendary Fruit Armor for her to wear - it would have to be totally useless but quite fashionable if course. Any of the gnomish names make for a nice break from the awesome sounding names most of us try to make. How about a Cousin Bun Bun? Boo would approve.
Hahahaha, very cool indeed.
Irenicus cant have been happy falling to Aunt Petunia, haha.
My to three characters are:
Jennatar - male elven Fighter/mage/thief cap removed, very high level.
Name taken from Daggerspell series.
Gilyan - female human kensai, single weapon style GM in Bastard swords and Longswords.
Name taken from the above mentioned book.
Sawen - female human blade... just a name I like.
You can't handle the truth!

Zaknafein Do'Urden the famous drow warrior of Menzoberranzan,Toril, although my Ravenloft character Karthal [an avenger]is the character I have created and developed and also owns a special place in my heart although my DM always tries to kill him and never rewards him for his most excellent thinking and fighting abilities[right Kassaras?]
Kill alll those who stand against you, look into their eyes, drink their blood and laugh as they pay for all their lies! This be the true Legacy of the Drow! All glory to the Dark Mother!!!

Yes a very good name. Have used it myself. Though it bothers me in the sense that he was zombified and sent to kill Drizzt. Now if you were playing a zombie or drow zombie it would be a superb name.
The zombie was furthermore destroyed by Drizzt long before the BG saga takes place.

This is true. And Jan was forced to eat Biffle Chump just to survive in Loth's stomach. So both are dead at the time BG2 takes place. I think you'd have to admit that both were awesome drow in their time though and if you wanted to play a drow character you couldn't miss with either name. ;)
I'm not so sure about the chicken tasting drow actually. I can see how it would be hard to resist being eaten by Loth (a god and beautiful!), but the gnome? No offense intended to you and your kin, of course. :D

1. Eva Rena (Female Paladin [Cavalier])

Got this one from a PG13-rated anime on CTN. Eva Rena is the name of a mechanical unit known as a "Goddess" from Pilot Candidate.

2. Seteal (Female Mage [Necromancer])

Sort of random. Teal is my fav color, and I just sort of added S and E on the beginning.

3. Lorlei (Female Fighter)

I heard it on the radio commercials when I was creating my charactor. Not original, but hey, it works.

Good friend, you miss the obvious. Its not that gnomes taste that good (and who wouldn't prefer a nice lightly seasoned roasted drow stuffed with herbs over a nasty turnip tasting gnome any day - its really a survival defense mechanism), but it's a known fact that female spiders eat their mates - I suspect that this is why Jan ended up in Loth's stomach. Well, it was awfuly dark down there. :p
Good friend, you miss the obvious as well. ;) I did of course refer to the fact that a drow who got eaten by a gnome couldn't very well be an awesome drow. Again no offense intended. :p

I've always been partial to the name Delvilik, who was the Priest of Lathander I played with my first time through. I'm not quite sure how I came up with it, but I liked the combination of l's and i's. Lots of pointy up-and-down things!

My current character is named Hibrian. Again, I have no idea where that name came from.

hehe god i sound like such a loser

i used to have these old AD&D cards, with classic characters on them. They're great for inspiration. It includes famous characters such as:
Worden Ironfist: Dwarf Berserker
Morgan Ravenstar: Human Paladin
Malabeth: Drow Priestess
Sadira: Human Preserver
Storm Silverhand: Human Bard
Wachter: Male Gladiator

and so on
Opinions are like a$$ holes: Everyone has one, and they all stink!

Paladin=Fritz von Scharnhorst

von Shcarnhorst was the guy who rebuilt the Prussian army after Napoleon kicked their bums. It just sounds mean.
