Just spent some time rummaging around in Syl's site. He comes across as a bit of a pompous git - it's fine by me if he wants to play this Battle of the Somme "shoulder to shoulder at the enemy, let no man flinch", but he seems very intolerant of any other views.
I note also that a first time respondent who pointed out that tactics against a computer AI are different from those you'd use against a human opponent was criticised for being a bit uppity (and critical of Syl) by some of the other forum members.
I'm fairly new to this forum myself. Do we have to suck up to the moderators here as well?

I think Maurice has proven time and again that he absolutely requires no sucking up. His tolerance of Baasie and the various alter-egos is enough proof of that.
As for the other board, I'm actually too bored of it now to want to start a war. I love(!) the tactics that Waverly, Omar, and Co. thought up, however. Some of you may have noticed that after my post at Sorceror's Place, Taluntain was quick to point out that he runs the board and not Syl. I'm still annoyed by Syl's lackeys, but I have more respect for them because of Taluntain's comments.
By the way, anyone know how old Baasie is?
