I happen to like the color green, but I dunno it seems that most games I play have people that generally see the warrior/barbarian/fighter (or whatever it's called in the game) class as the most lame...

I really don't know where you're coming to that conclusion. It's been discussed, as nauseum on these forums, alone (I won't bother pulling threads from other forums, because, well, I'm lazy) on how the 'best' character is not one, or the other, rather an amalgamation of both (that seems to be the general consensus, especially in the Baldur's Gate 2 forums, here). Not only that, but many discussions have occured that discuss both the pros and cons of both types of classes.
Really, for people to understand where you're coming from, a little bit more than speculation and a blanket statement is needed.
