you need +2 weapons to hit a stone golem, just a plain normal flail does not work.

LA GenDranBabe,

I'm not 100% sure on this but just so you get an answer. You need magical weapons for stone golems (Blunt is flesh golems) so use the biggest + weapons which your characters are proficent in. Use Haste spells or potions of speed, Bless the party, cast chant, have the biggest fighter take the damage at the front AND if you have potions of extra healing have them drink one at the start of each new round. Time a heal spell so that it gets your fighter 'just in time'. Or when your fighter is looking sad move them away from the golems and have the next biggest fighter take over.

A more sneaky tactic is cast lower resistance on one of the golems then domination and have them duke it out between themselves.

Or, summon monsters as a buffer and have your biggest hitters attack after the summoned monsters are in contact with golems. - Curdis

Stone golens need a +3 weapon to be harm.
about jaheira is she cursed you know the (x) on the portarit, if she then end her curse(ckeck the jornal) rest 3 times 8+8+8 hours and she will be fine.

You gotta goto the slums and kill the dork who cursed here. An easy fight then you rest around 3 times. She needs a FULL nights rest.

Drakron Du´Dark, even experts can make mistakes:
you don't need +3 for a stone golem, +2 is sufficient.

There's a lot of tricks you can use if you have problem with these. For example you can have a magic-user with stoneskin in the frontline while you hack away.

Btw you can do this quest in chapter 2 (Weasel). If you have yoshi in your party he will give you a pointer to go and talk to Renal.

This board is easy going and a good majority of the questions get answered.
That's what makes it a good one Image
They banned you for that?!

'Ale and whores,' heh heh.

Ok, I've killed Baron Ployer & removed Jaheira's curse, & have gone back to kill the stone golems too. Except, I can't give Jaheira, Minsc, or Yoshimo a good enough weapon that will kill them!!!

These stone golems are kicking their butts!!! I've had Jaheira cast a bless spell on everyone & had her cast Rigid Thinking, & anything else that might be effective, including Doom & Death Ward, but, she has no effect on them.

Also, for Minsc, the 2 handed sword just doesn't work. My Paladin has Arbane's Sword +2 which seems to be effective, & Anomen has a Mace +1 which also seems to be effective, but, the other 3 are in big trouble!!! No one that I've found has any weapons that are +1 & above that will help them!

Any suggestions are welcome!!!! Thanks!!! =)

If you have finished the tradmeet quests, one of the merchants there has blackblood (+3 club for Jaheira), as well as Tansherons bow (+3 short bow for Yoshimo) and misc. hammer, etc.

Trademeet quests? Where the heck is that? I'm still on Ch 2 & have only been to the Docks, the Slums, the Temple District & Waukeen's Promenade. Does that fall anywhere in between here?

I'm supposed to kill Rayic first & then go back & talk to Edwin at Mae Var's place & he's supposed to tell me where to find the evidence against Mae Var. But, I can't do any of that until I kill Rayic first, but, these moron stone golems are kicking our butts!!! =P

Suggestions? Any are very much appreciated & welcome!!! Thanks in advance!!!

Have you completed the quests for the slaves in the copper coronet in the slums? Bernard has some good axes but not 'til after that quest is complete. Perhaps recruit Keldorn (Temple district) just for this battle as his sword is a +2. He is in the sewers if you accept the quest for the unseeing eye.
Trying not to spoil.

I haven't gotten to the quest for the slaves yet. I never even came across it when I was in the Temple District! I went into the sewers & never even came across him either. Maybe my copy of BG2 has a glitch????

When you went into the temple district did you run across a lengthy dialog concerning a new cult? If so, did you go to the temple of helm and talk to the priest there, he will assign you that quest which then allows access to Keldorn in the sewers in the extreme NW part. Careful which way you go though.

Nope, never came across that part. I guess I know where I'm headed! Thanks for the tip.

It might just be that the Unseeing Eye quest (the one for which you meet Keldorn in the Sewers below the Temple District) does not yet trigger because you haven't yet done something that is somehow required.

My best advice to get these weapons is to - indeed as has been written before - go to the Copper Coronet in the Slums district, and carefully explore the entire tavern. Do not let closed doors stop you Image. If you need advice, ask for more here. After solving your business there, talk to Bernard, at the tap. He should sell you weapons you can use against the Golems. Good luck!
