Ha, I've done that before.

I got hit with some obscure question on some theory I had no interest in, grinned at the person and said "I like kittens, they're funny." The persons face screwed up into the most ridiculous position and then he stalked away muttering to himself. :p

People who wear baseball hats sideways. They're made to provide protection from glare and face forward. If you don't want that, get a beanie with the little propellor thing on top!

Edit: Just thought of another one.

Brunette's who dye their hair blonde. It looks horrible. Stop it! :o

What I find annoying, is when you are watching a show/movie with someone who has already seen it. It sends me nuts, when they say, "Aww, watch this bit." It just makes me want to say, "What the hell else do you reckon I'm going to do! I'm already watching it, and I will see it. I don't want it given away!"

That's what I hate.

Indecisive people.

I hate dealing with them. One starts asking you to make decisions for them, and then complaining about the decision you make and telling you they don't like THAT one and you should know that, and then telling you make another and hurry up about it.

AUTOMATED PHONE TREES!!!!!

We are moving at the end of the month and I am trying to change over our utilties. This has all been going quite smoothly..except for the phone...

Unfortunately we have to switch back to a really poor servive provider (our present phone company only offers long distance services in the new area).... and I'm attempting to set up local service. I need to speak to a real, live, breathing person... but all I'm getting are voice prompts and an array of buttons to push. I can't imput our phone number for service because we don't presently have an account with them. GRRRRRRR....

Happily, our internet service provider will be offering digital phone service in the Fall, and that company is *very* good. But until then, I am trying to decide if we should just rely on our cell phones.

Random phone calls...from MACHINE's. Why, WHY must the call that wakes me up be a stupid message from a guy advertising some idiot service/product?!

They have these machine's. They're little mini-computer type things. You basically toss in all the data from the local phone book into the machine, record a message and it auto-dial's everyone in it's data base and play's them the message. It runs and runs and runs and just cycles from A-Z calling everyone on the list. It makes me homocidal to be honest getting one of those calls at 6am... :o

@Magrus: Ok, I see. That kind of telemarketing is illegal where I live (actually I thought it was illegal worldwide). Telemarketing in general is regulated by fairly strict rules here since it's viewed as violating the integrity of private citizens in their homes.

What about mobile phones, is telemarketing of any kind allowed for mobile phone numbers?

Actually I think that kind of thing IS illegal, or at least your supposed to be able to tell them to stop calling, and if you get another call you can sue them. Yet, how do you tell a machine playing a message to not call you anymore?

I'm not sure, I've not gotten any telemarketing calls on my cell phone. I've gotten wrong number's of angry mothers with missing daughters...that's ironic they're wrong number's. :o I've been told my friend who has my cell phone has gotten collect calls from the local prison, and the girls in her class on their cell phones as well. That's somewhat frightening those girls all have people IN prison they don't know calling THEIR cell phones and asking for them by name.

@Magrus: I suppose it's not difficult to find out a persons cell phone number. These interns calling from the prison, does anyone know what they want?

They were prisoner's claiming that the people they were calling were the names given to them in a new "buddy" system. Somehow, 3 different girls in my friends class besides my friend, who had MY cell phone no less, all got calls from the same prison, but different inmates.

The girl had your mobile, and still the intern who called knew it was a girl who used to phone, and perhaps even knew her name? Scary. Somebody who knew these girls must have given this information. So, did they try to convince the girls to become friends with them or what? It's not uncommon that interns try to get in touch with people of the opposite gender on the outside in order to manipulate them to help them with different things, but randomly phoning girls you don't at all know sounds very strange.

I am annoyed by people who like the sound of their own voice ("You have to read the blurb on this Bob Dylan album!", the cad will say, before reciting it in a bad Dakotan accent to the tune of motorpsycho nightmare), and I have destroyed many Bob Dylan albums for this reason. I don't necessarily blame people for publishing poems on the back of LPs, although that is also mildly annoying.

I am also annoyed by people who use bizarre links to steer conversation towards an area in which they can launch a gasconade about their own acheivements, brilliant personal habits or general superiority. As if a conversation about what the judges in swiiming competitions (of which this wag has won several recently, thankyou) use to write with is a necessary concomitant of me asking for a ****ing pencil.

Dottie, you are a paragon of clemency. People like that annoy me.
