Dragonlance game anyone?
Anyone still interested in joining, let me know. If you know how to make your own character and can, that'd be great too, I'm still working out the story and making the key NPC's.

Alright, I know DZ mentioned wanting to be slinging spells and what not as a high level character. I was kind of wanting to bring you up from mid-level to higher level and let you progress. Yet, I stumbled on something in another book that I found interesting. It would make your character's more powerful, which I can adjust for you and such, and since I just have plot points and creature stats, I'd just have to rearrange the amount of creatures I throw at you and when and what-not if I did this.
Well, here goes the idea...
*They came up with this thing called Gestalt character's for high-powered campaigns, or campaigns with 3 or less players. That fits here, and I wouldn't mind beefing up the campaign a bit on top of just having the two player's.
*What happens is, you take two classes, say cleric/wizard, or fighter/sorcerer, or monk/wizard, or whatever. You stick each of the classes specs and stats side by side, and anything that over-laps, you pick the better of the two and drop the lesser one. Anything that doesn't overlap, you include both. Here's an example:
Monk/Sorcerer
*Monk: Hit Dice(HD)->1d8/level; Sorcerer (Sorc)->1d4/level
*Monk: 3/4 HD=Base Attack Bonus (BAB); Sorc: 1/2 HD=BAB
*Monk: 2/3 HD Fort, Ref and Will saves; Sorc 1/3 HD Fort, 1/3 HD Ref, and 2/3 HD Will
*Monk: Gains Bonus to AC at 1/5 HD
*Monk: Gains +10 ft/round to movement at a rate of 1/3 HD
*Monk: Recieves high unarmed damage
*Monk: Recieves class related feats
*Sorc: Recieve Spells
Now, say you were an 8th level Monk/Sorc, you'd grab the HD, BAB, Saves, AC bonus, movement bonus, unarmed damage bonus, monk feats, and sorc spells.
You'd end up with 8d8 HP, +6/+1 BAB, +6 to each Save, +1 to AC, +20 ft Move/rd, a slew of monk feats, do 1d10 damage on an unarmed strike (same as a bastard sword), and be able to cast spells the same as when you were just a plain Sorc.
Instead of 8d4 HP, +4 BAB, +2 +2 and +6 to your saves, no AC bonus, no move bonus, no extra monk feats, and still having spells.
Now, you wouldn't get a bonus to your Attributes/Stats. This can cause a clash, wizards need a high Int to get spells, Fighters could care less and want high Str and Con, Clerics want high Wis and Cha, etc. You wouldn't take an experience penalty, I'd just adjust things so this would be "normal" for you.
Also, DZ, in the same book, I found something you might be interested in with or with that the above changes. Considering your a necromancer, and you haven't seemed to want to use your familiar, you could get a skeleton as a familiar. It would progress based on your level, be controlled by you and act just like Blake's familiar. Would you want me to change that for you?
Let me know what you think about the class thing. You'd end up being able to pick a class to add onto your levels in your wizard and sorc levels like I did above with the Monk/Sorc mix. If you wanted to be a wizard that had cleric magic, or a fighting wizard, or rogue/wizard or whatever, even toss a sorc/wizard mix together for extra spells, you could. I'll give you a list of classes if you want. Let me know.

Sure thing. Actually, I've no clue why I didn't think of this before to show you two. There's a website that has basically the whole Player's Handbook online. I'll give you the link.
http://geocities.com/sovelior/srd/classes.html
This brings you right to the main page for the class section. Click on the individual classes on the left side bar to get more detail. Each class may be slightly different in the Dragonlance Campaign, but those are the essential rules I'm using and most aren't different at all.

Yeah, I should have thought of that a while ago. Now you can sift through and find things on your own if need be. It doesn't have everything I'm using, but the core rules and everything are right there for you if you ever have a question or are curious and don't feel like asking me.

@Magrus- Sure I wasn't sure about a snake as my familiar, but a skeloton sounds good, thanks.

Awesome, I'll do that for you if I get time tonight. What do you think about the character alteration I mentioned above since it's just the two of you?

Hmm, if you read up on that link I gave you it would give you the info you'd need. The thing with the barb, I was thinking that myself. However, you have to be chaotic to be a barb, and lawful to be a part of that order of mages. If you mixed those two, you'd have to abandon that order and become a renegade mage and would therefore be hunted by them. That would be up to you.

You'd have to discuss that with Blake then...if you went renegade, and he didn't he'd be forced to kill you.
You going out to do that all tonight?

Alrighty, I'll be busy tomorrow, and drunk tomorrow night and not at home and no clue when I'll be home sunday.
Once you and Blake figure out where your going with your character's with this, or if you choose not to get into it I can create them. However keep in mind, you have to stay lawful to keep in that order, and both of you have to either go renegade, or stay lawful together. Barbarian and Bard have to be chaotic. Any of the others you could take and stay lawful, although certain classes have other alignment restrictions.
Staying your same alignments, neither of you could be those two, or paladins. DZ, you couldn't be a druid, but Blake could, and I think that may be it, might have to double-check the ranger. There's also the psychic classes, if you feel like bringing those into the game, I can describe the three classes- Psion, Psychic Warrior and Soul-knife. Interesting stuff, but more rules to learn and what not.

@ Oskatat, you're going to want to end up ECL 8. I have the rule book for the campaign. You can pick from dwarves, gnomes, humans, elves (elves have three sub-races. One of them is a "wild" elf, more barbaric and has a favored class of ranger and is more suited to that sort of thing. A second is a lot like the "normal" elf, and a third is more the uptight, noble and prejudiced elf with a bonus to Dex and Int, minus to Con and Cha), half-elves, and kender (halflings). The kender and gnomes are slightly different than standard gnomes and halflings. You have the "civilized" and "savage" human's, each one has slightly different scores. You have draconian's, which DZ's character represents the mid-rank draconian. There is a modified version of the minotaur, it starts with no level adjustment, but that doesn't suit your type of character to play.
To warn you, both character's are magic-user's, one a wizard and the other a sorcerer draconian. It's up to you if you want to end up with a party of mages or not, I can adjust to fit that and you can read up through the game so far to see their style of play.
If you do want to create a magic user again. There is a race, called the "Irda". They have inborn magical talent, ability to shapechange and have a level adjustment of +2 and only one HD FYI. They're favored class is wizard.
You could also become a centaur if you wanted. They've got an ECL of 6 to start from, so I don't know if that would be something you'd want to consider.
If you see a race of interest and want more info, let me know I'll provide, but I should be leaving for the next 24 hours or more in about an hour or so.
Edit: Sorcerer's don't no. They aren't required to join or be considered renegades like wizards are.
There's also interesting good, and evil knightly order's. No paladin's, yet two of the three good knightly orders (prestige classes), all three of which stack (you need to access 1, then 1 to get to 2, then two to get to the top level), two of them require clerical magic and you get spell progression with those prestige classes. Making them different than paladin's but somewhat alike in cause.

Awesome.
Are you familiar with the standard point buy system? Slot in 8 for each attribute, I give you 30 points, 1:1 point trade up until 14, 2:1 up until 16, and 3:1 up until 18? I figure you can choose your stat's as you want, unless you'd rather I do so. Either way works, but I assume you'd prefer to allot them to your personal preferences. You'll need to add in your 2 bonus attributes based on level.
If you feel like going through and choosing skill ranks and feats, you can do that for yourself as well. If not, I'll attempt to guess what it is you want based on what you gave me and fill the sheet in for you.
If you have the DMG, I've tried going by the chart they did for worth of treasure based on an 8th level character. If you go by that, you can pick your own equipment if you'd like. If not, again, I can fill it in.
Let me know on whether I'll need to complete this for you when I get the free time, I'm expecting my friend to be on her way to take me out for the weekend within the hour.
