You miss clanging your blade on his tough skin. He strikes you once again and fumbles to the ground.

The man strikes him once again and hits taking it out.

Earning you 200 experience.

"Good work," Ristel says to you. "Now that you have experienced actual combat, I trust that you can take care of yourself. I believe Master Quik asks for yours and his presence. But before you go, here is a little something for the both of you."

Ristel hands you both 250 gold pieces and dismisses you to your summon.

Magrus bows and murmer's his thanks upon taking the coin.

Glancing at his wound he lets his mind blade dissapear while inspecting it.

"Better go see what this summons is about" he says as he grins at the man and starts walking towards Master Quik.

"Hehe, yeah," he replies.

As you both make your way to Quiks quarters, the man speaks up to you.

"Hey, nice work back there," he says. "I'd like to introduce myself. I'm new here and my names Dosker Starag."

The both of you make your way up the steps and before you have a chance to respond to Dosker, Quik greets you.

"Nice to see you alive; the both of you," he says. "Here, drink this while I talk."

he hands you a labeled potion of cure light wounds.

"Now, I have summoned you here because I need you to deliver something for me. My friend up in balmora needs this package, but I have not the time to deliver it. I will gladly pay you for this service. If you accept, I do warn you to be careful out in the wilderness."

Magrus murmers his thanks softly while uncorking the bottle and drinks the potion as he listens. Glancing at Dosker, and then back to Master Quik, Magrus says

"I'd be honored to be entrusted with this mission if you feel I'm worthy of it Master."

"I trust you," he says.

"I also accept," Dosker says.

"Now then, he is in the residential district of the town. Just ask the guard where "Lyvandor" lives and he will gladly point you in the direction of his house. You have time, so go to the shoppes and buy what you need with the bonus Ristel gave you."

He then gives you the package. It is in a small spherical contraption that has a key hole in it's side.

He dismisses you to go get what you need and go off to the town of Balmora.

Magrus bows, takes the package and says "At once Master" and then turns and walks away.

Glancing back at the man he says

"I did not have time to return the introduction, my name is Magrus. I am glad to have you accompanying me. It will be good to have someone to help watch my back if things get rough. What do you say we go get some supplies eh?"
**************************************

Question, did we each get 250 gp, and 200 exp. Or was that a total that we are splitting?

"Let's do then," he says.

As you two exit the estate, you enter a huge city area. You see the market district just a bit away from here.

(Go ahead and buy what you need and ask any questions you need to know if any have come up)

We walk towards a shop and I buy 1 Potion of Endure Elements, and 3 Potions of Cure Light Wounds, sticking them in my belt pouches. Then I buy 10 days worth of rations, sticking them in my backpack.

Then I turn towards Dosker and say "I'm ready whenever you are Dosker."

As you both head off into the wilderness, the guards caution you and tell you that orc's have been spotted in the area.

(on foot it will take you about 5 days to get there.)

Then he opens the gate for you and you both head towards balmora. As you travel, nothing happens for the first day. Dosker sets up the campfire for the first night.

You two converse and get to know each other a little.
(You now know that Dosker is a ranger, about 17 years old, full blooded human, and has skill against goblins.)

As you two sleep, nothing happens to awake you during the night. The next day, however, on your way towards the city, you notice a bridge up ahead.

Two male humans stand at the bridge.

"If ye want to pass, ye must pay the toll," they say. "It is 45 gold pieces, each."

Magrus calmly puts his hands behind his back and assumes a non-chalant stance while sizing the two humans up, looking for details about their dress, equipment. Whether they look like guards or bandits, etc. With his hands behind his back, he manifests his mind-blade and asks

"What toll, and who might you be good sirs?"

They appear to wear studded leather armor, and wield longswords. They don't have any insignia's plated upon them whatsoever.

"We are the patrol of the blackwinter guild. This is our land and we demand our toll."

Dosker jumps in.

"And what does this benifit?"

"It benifits our land and our expansion of the guild."

Both of you can tell they are lying there heads off.

Dosker put's his hands on his hips, but you notice his hand is grabbing his sword.

"Pay us or we will be forced to take from you."

Magrus grabs the hilt of his mind blade tightly and spins around while attempting to drive it into the guard in front of him while he's still off-guard.
