Sterwick campaign - The game thread (NO SPAM!!)
"Listen to me, you rotten pile of steaming manure, I could cut your throat this very instance if I wanted to" he held the blade of his axe to the dwarfs neck. "I will now count to 5 and if you dont start talking" Kazar made a small movement across his own throat with his finger and made a sort of "QUEEE" sound,
"OKAY, okay!!
We heard of some bandit going 'round stealin' from our wagons." Nodding to Sterwick, "he looked suspiscious. Still does in fact. Why don't ye ask him what he's been up to? Eh?"
Sterwick interjects, "I haven't stolen from any of you!"
The dwarf laughed grimly, "Aye, but ye would say that, wouldn't ye?"

"Look at yourselves! I attacked you because you looked evil, suspicuos and because you wanted to kill Sterwick, now look at yourselves now. You can't prove anything that he has done, ye shouldn't judge by looks." he took the blade of his neck "Is there anything else we should know about?" pausing looking around quickly he then said "Perhaps we can help you with your wagon problem?" nodding he looked around at his companions almost as if searching for their approval
The dwarf who would murder at a moment's notice was now offering help to those he had tried to kill?
Huh. Maybe there was yet hope for him. Sh'rarn nodded his approval.
"Ye think ye can help us? Bah! You proved yer ability besting us, but so have these bandits.
They show up and disappear as soon as ye blink. They steal the supplies meant for our markets! They must be stopped". Regaining his composure the dwarf narrowed his eyes, "How can we trust ye not to strike the instant our backs are turned?"
Sh'rarn stepped forward. Maybe Kazar could use some help in this potentially noble goal. "You have my word Dwarf. As a Paladin of the Red Knight. I never wished you or your companions were harmed in this way in the first place and I sincerely apologise for that."
"BAH!" The dwarf weighed the Paladin's words. A paladin's word was notoriously trustworthy, perhaps they could be trusted. "We'd still have to clear it with our commander, of course. Bit difficult being trussed up like this." the dwarf said indicating the ropes still tying them.

Sh'rarn nodded. "Okay, I can do that." Untying the dwarves, he watched for sudden movements though most of them seemed groggy still and uncapable of taking such action.
Talking to the dwarf who Kazar had..interrogated..."Do you want to take the lead? Point us in the right direction?"
"Are ye going to hand me back me weapon at least?"

Sh'rarn sighed. He was reluctant to give them a means to exact revenge but they were hardly in a position to get it anyway. He handed back their axes, well, to the three that were concious anyway. The other one, though stable was still in a worse shape than his comrades. "Hmm...Sess, Kron, why don't you stay here and look after this dwarf. I don't think he's capable of travelling at the moment. We won't be gone that long." Sh'rarn didn't know Sterwick well enough to say he should stay here, perhaps it was best that he tag along...besides the dwarves were unconvinced that Sterwick was unconnected to their bandits.
They reluctantly nodded their agreement.
The dwarves, Sh'rarn, Kazar and Sterwick set out to the East of the city soon after.
It was a long march and after another half-day they still had not made half the distance to the wagons. However everyone needed a rest and Sh'rarn was still badly wounded from the earlier battle. They came across a group of traders who graciously shared their supplies and helped to lighten the mood.
Feel free to make any preparations or ask your hosts questions.

Kazar seemed completely unintrested in the traders and Sterwick...well, he was harder to read. Not that it was particularly surprising, after the odd result with Detect Evil. There had been stranger things happening though.
Seeing as his companions hadn't bothered to talk to the traders, Sh'rarn was discouraged and did the same though he was polite to those who who would offer them a safe haven. He needed to rest and heal his wounds in any case. As did their dwarven companions.
On the morn, the traders and the dwarves parted company heading in opposite directions.
Unbeknowst to those travelling towards to the wagons, their approach was being monitored...

Sh'rarn rolled his eyes. The grumbling was becoming aggravating.
The group continued towards the East, the dwarf who had talked to them earlier (who had identified himself as Rugnar) assured them they were getting close to the wagons.
Just then, goblins spring out from the bushes either side of the group screaming their war chants and brandishing their morningstars and everyone is forced to defend themselves.
Sh'rarn, Rugnar and another dwarf face 3 goblins from the right. Kazar, Sterwick and the remaining dwarf left the 3 on the left.
Roll Initiative.

Kazar grumbled and grumbled, and perhaps that was the reason the goblins attacked, perhaps they had gotten fed up themselves, quickly being seperated from Sh'rarn and 2 dwarfs. He himself was left with sterwick and a weakened dwarf. He brandished his war axe and prepared to meet the goblins, knowing that this was what his race specialised in, extreminating scum like them.

Okay, one of the goblins stands back hefting a javelin for a throw, it quickly selects a target and throws it's missile at Sterwick. The javelin hits him and deals some nasty damage. Sterwick looks like he is barely able to stand now.
The second goblin runs forward and attempts to take advantage of the first goblin's strike. It's attack doesn't come close.
Sterwick despite his injury attacks in turn, facing off against the goblin right in front of him. He fails to hit the smaller creature.
The remaining goblin runs up to the Dwarf and deals a devastating blow. The dwarf is now unconcious.
Your turn.

You score a good hit on the javelin thrower. The goblin is now effectively dead.
On the other side of the battle, Sh'rarn, Rugnar and another dwarf face 3 other goblins...
Goblin 3 hefts his javelin and throws it towards Rugnar, just missing the dwarf.
The other dwarf fighting alongside Sh'rarn and Rugnar picks out a goblin and just manages to hit it, but with enough force to take it out of combat.
The other melee goblin attacks Sh'rarn but abysmally fails to hit.
Sh'rarn attacks Goblin 2
