I downloaded the one from BGDungeon, but it unzips the exact same file (file size and everything) I tried it anyway (after moving the other one), but it didn't help. I wish I could get my saved game to you...stupid free e-mail! It says it'll send up to 3.0 megs...

Well, mine says 44KB/sec, but one time a test reported around 60. But still, yours is a lot faster than mine. That's probably why my saved games won't upload and yours will.

Ah I learned something tonight, that is my connection speed. Yes my sister has her computer on a phone line and gets about 30Kps to 40Kps. Microsoft has some information on timing out I just can not find it again. Look on the Planer Sphere topic I left a link for Drakron. See you tomorrow.

Weasal i am closing xcap and i will be gratefull if you can sand both level 50 and xcap in zip.
halibyas@mailcity.com
magusg you can cut into parts "the save" with file split.
If you dont have the program i can send. If you wish you can send me saves too. Maybe i arrange a battle against your mage.

People with a slow down on saving and loading may want to try moving or deleting some of there older save games because every time you goto the load screen it has to read everyone one of them in order to display the pictures

You can get the xcap remover and rules at http://www.teambg.com
And I don't think that file split will work, because the baldur.sav file is 800KB alone. Even if it condensed that to 500KB, it would probably still be to large.

Weasel: I think I found a way to send my saved game. I'll put in on a floppy disk and upload it at school, from my art teacher's T1 connection.
KN: that's not the problem, it's the actual loading process that takes forever, not bringing up the screen with all of the pictures (I use quick save/quick load a lot)

Magusg was talking about why his game is taking so long to load up when tries to leave one area to go to another. Not sending his save to me. His computer is 'timing out' before it will upload it to be sent.

That is a little strange that it won't upload.
One thing to consider is that even on 56k connection, your download will be at 56k speeds, but your upload speed will probably be at 33.6k speeds. So try to give it a few extra minutes perhaps.

@Ron I don't have trouble either way (Down loading or Up loading) Could it have to do with who you get your e-mail through?(Hotmail)

Magusg: Just a thought... are you running out of disk space or have you filled your temp directory or root directory? I know you say that your problem is *not* system related, but it sure as hell *sounds* like it is. I presume you know about Fastfind too...
Weasel: You shouldn't be having problems uploading these files - are you sure your internet connection is set up properly? Time outs suggests that maybe you don't. Have you checked the settings? Do you have any LAN connections?
P.S. I got my lvl50 XCAP from baldurdash.com.
There are numerous small files that go into the override directory and I haven't had any problems at all. There are also several other bug fixes there that all seem to work.
