It's oooow, and gonnn, that keep her in her place;
Not her wretched clothes, or her dirty face.
-But I always liked Shaw's Pygmalion better than Lerner & Lowe's My Fair Lady. All except Shaw's epilogue, in which he deliberately sours the whole thing by saying Eliza would marry Freddy and deliberate light into Higgins (who remained a bachelor) whenever the two were in the same room. Shaw hated meeting an audience's expectations.

@Sleep, Veh, and Georgi:
I have always enjoyed how the outer-space aliens bent on world conquest
always ended up invading Brittan in most episodes of
Dr. Who, usually involving the amazing alien-plot-stopping powers of UNIT (now there’s a great name for a military phalanx if I ever seen one!) LOL!

It seems like every nation has its patriotic fantasies about stopping overwhelming invaders with their own, trusty people. I caught a few old Soviet silent films a few weeks back--and damn if they didn't do the same thing! Except, of course, they were saving the young Soviet republic from wealthy capitalists with bombs, and decadent Martian royalty.
Then there's Star Wars, which makes the universe safe for tiny furry aliens and constitutional monarchies, everywhere.

Oh yeah!? Have you met em all?
Your not falling into a sterotypical trap are you?
I almost always never make blanket statements about people I dont know.

Does anybody out there like Scouse? I have picked up more of the accent over the last couple of years and it really bugs me.
Personally, I quite like Kiwi, Welsh and French accents. Oh, and 'farmer accents' from Bristol really do it for me as well. I'm not so keen on American accents though. I think its maybe because I've heard 'Have a nice day' so many times.
