I think the fact that he's wearing them and showing them off, is pretty much all the proof we need for this case. However, I don't think we must punish him for that, because that would mean we'd also have to convict the pantless marines and Aegis, who only wears a toga, and all the other oddly dressed SYMians.
The fact that he stole them can be understood when we look at his childhood. But we can't do that right now, there's not enough time.
That's all I have to say on this. However, it might be a good idea to call Luis to the stand and ask him what he has to say.
