I've posted some story which could change some of the plot for a while, and if you want me to I could change it so it wouldn't be such a big change (What I'm about to do won't take long)

Well, Teroril, if I were standing in a clearing fighting a demon and a blue-skinned guy shows up, opens a portal and says, "Come with me; Trust me!" I would probably run the other direction! I think most characters would need a little more explanation and familiarity before being willing to step through just any portal. IMHO

@Beldin: yes, there's a link some pages back to the whole compiled story, but I'm too lazy to look it up right now.

You could try to go here and save a copy of the page to your hard disk. (It's the printable version of the DF Book 5 thread.)

@Teroril: I think the same as Gwalchmai. Would post that in the story too, but don't want to have to change it case you edit your post, and don't have time to post in the story right now anyway.

@Teroril - your character, and his intentions confuse me Who is D'arth? is your character a Planatar or something? It would be helpful if you cast a little more light on the subject, preferably here in DF Discussion, or via PM to those who your post may affect...that way we won't see the story become fragmented...the fluency can only be maintained if we communicate...just my thoughts

Your thread had 666 replies, and it sort of disturbed me, so I thought I would post. BTW, I've been wondering--have you all ever posted a summary of the ongoing story you've written online. I think if I tried to read the whole thing, my eyes would explode.

@ Teroril, I'm afraid I have to agree with everyone else, you can't just come in and change the storyline completely by dragging off someone that WE captured. I don't want to sound like an old fart (Christ, I'm 16 only! ) but a storyline is generally worked on by a few people and to have a new character come in and change everything is not what was planned...

@Teroril, don't get the wrong impression dude. New posters are always welcome. Just guess what everyone is saying is to get in touch with someone if you want to alter their storyline. That way no one gets taken by surprise. In conclusion, welcome dude

My intention with the Demon which is D'aroth (I think, because Obsidian called him that) is that I have taken him for questioning by the higher power, because that D'aroth's actions were unjust, and that he has an evil scheme, which we are about to find out.

The portal leads to an etheral plane, where the demon will be questioned

Now that the battle is over with in the clearing, I'm certain all involved are wondering who or what the hell I am.

I tried to enter the battle and be as minimally invasive as possible with respect to the plot line and characters involved.

@DW, you write about thantor 'checking out' the mysterious figure in the grove. I'm gatheing that's me your referring to, the psioinic connection providing good roots to build on, I agree.

Communication needs to established. I'm not opposed to letting someone dictate the initial conversation in the grove whether it be psionic (telepathy) or oral. Whoever writes can decides who takes part. My only two cents are that my character needs help and cannot remain on the surface for much longer. Post back if someone's going to take the initiative and I'll PM with a few more details. When the time comes for my story to be told, obviously, I'll need to be the one tell it.

@Ned - why don't you take the initiative then? Why not write in Thantor? one of us could help you out with Thantor's character if you need...That way you get to control the dialogue - there's time for Thantor before the dusk ritual....

So what direction are we going with this plotine? I follow Torm so I would have to be careful about going to Tyr's plane. What are you aiming to do with this?
