good times ahead for all thieves! With the ToB skill use any item the thief is literally able to use every item in the game! That means wands, scrolls, carsomyr, crom faeyr, plates, everything!!

One drawback is that you get penalties when using weapons you cant get proficencies for. But who cares! Hide, stab, cast spells, plate, fighting!! cool!!

i know the new thief abilities are going to make them the best class ever .
think of it a x7 backstab by an assassin weilding Crom Feayr and Flail of Ages.

Can't you only backstab with edged weapons? I'm nt sure but I think so. Still a great ability though. Think of the swashbuckler with the best ac and the best weapons of anyone. And then think of an assassin with plate...no need to backstab and run away anymore. Just backstab with a good edged weapon than pull out Crom Faeyr and kick ass.

IIRC you can only backstab with Thief weapons.

Of course, you could wield Crom Faeyr in your off-hand and backstab with Celestial Fury

So many posabilities. Anyways, has anyone looked at the new mage spells at all? I haven't really but I heard about Improved Aclarity and it sounds great. For 10 seconds you can launch spells with no delay in between and (I think) all casting times are set to one. Imagine that along with a time stop. And then of course there is the sorcerer with all these spells. Ahh, so many posabilities.

Funny. Only today I was checking out some game files and came across the spell "Aura Cleansing" (claiming to remove the magical residue that prevents wizards from casting more than once every 6 seconds) and "Daer Ragh's Mental Agility" (speeds up spellcasting). That stuff must have been around since BG1 or so (as Dear Ragh was there), but will only now be implemented.

there really wil be some great spells i hear, but where did u get the info on those spells and the high lvl abilities??

I believe so. Which means I won't be seeing you guys for a while once it comes out.

i think i will be on this forum still, but not as often i think

I'll probably pop my head in to see what's up every once in a while as I'm playing ToB.

Kayless, you'll probably be the first of us to get ToB....hopefully here in Europe we'll get it within 15 days....
BTW i think i'll not come to GB until i've finished the game.....spoilers are always behind the corner!!!!!!!! (and i don't have much time for posting these days.........)

Hey there. Add Khanbhall nocturnus to the Shadow Mage Guild. Meat walls are for the unimaginative, and League of the morning wood, well, heh. Mages summon the biggest staffs. =P

Man, I just love a Kensai/Mage. Where else can a caster (without using cheese) get 126 HPS?

About that kensai mage the only great char that can cast spells and have high hitpoints,
try this one:
Ranger/Cleric
great spells Cleric AND Druid so i get a lot of IRON skins allong with Blade Barrier and Insect Plague it is a great Char.
did i mention i also can hide in shadows has great Thaco and it has now about 140 hitpoints and the number is still to become bigger
i love the char.

By casting Vampiric Touch on cute little bunnies?

But seriously; the spell is bugged and sometimes gives you 90 or so Hit Points. and you can cast it on yourself (no damage, just the bonus) or on chests and doors.
