Hi sis, nice to see you

I've been busy with my short story pieces, ones done the seconds midway through. Don't feel rushed, my post can wait

(of course leaving me with free time is like giving a pyromaniac a gallon of gas and a match)

Hey Sis, good to see you too
lol! Well, in truth it has worked out well for me that Ned has been busy too, since things are so crazy here. Right now I feel as though I'm sitting in the middle of demilitarized zone
Boxes piled everywehere..total and utter disorder. And of course the Packing Gremlins have been misplacing my tape gun and marker on me too
lmao! Er, I know I entrusted you with my character, but now I'm beginning to worry

Thanks! I hadn't written in a little while, and I was feeling the bug...
How is the move DW? I hope everything is going smoothly.
I have another question- should we have a "roster" or similar list of characters? It could be in the resource thread. It wouldn't need to be a full character sheet, but something with the basic info might be nice. There are more characters here every day, and keeping track of them is getting a little tricky at a glance. For instance, very general information like name, class, appearance, maybe race, and anything else important. Just a few lines, so hopefully it will all fit in one post (I could edit it, or T'l since she's a mod). For Setanta it would say something like:
"Male, very experienced fighter with some monk training, rogue training, and a prestiege class. Very physically fit- strong and quick. Unknown race (at this point

). Former Zhent slave. Musceled, with no hair on his body. Sometime worshipper of Sune."
As things got more detailed, we could change the info. It would be nice now that people are writing about other characters, mixing it up, etc. I would start the post myself, but I want to make sure other people will participate.
(since I volunteered you T'l, what do you specifically think about this?)

Hey Cuch
Hmm.. the move is going as smoothly as could be expected
I'll just be glad when it is over. I swear... if I see another large brown box, any time soon after we move, I will shoot it
I don't think it is a bad idea to put very brief character descriptions in the resource thread, I do agree that it is getting slightly hard to keep track of everyone. Though, I like minimal information, just to maintain the element of surprise

by Cuchulain82
Absolutely! I agree that surprise is key. The story will unfold as time passes. However, until Mag mentioned it, I'd totally spaced on the fact that TM was in Windhaven. Plus, Z is involved now, and we have various people writing about their own PCs and NPCs (for lack of better terminology) like T'l writing about multiple elves. I just thought it made sense...

It sounds like a good idea, unfortunately I'm not a mod in this forum and can't edit other peoples posts here. Either we're going to have a lot of posts in the resource thread or someone could take charge and get pm's or something, then compile the info into a post.
My npcs will all be resuming their lives after I meet up with the other characters

they are there to keep T'l from talking to herself

If Gwally isn't around right now, we could go for PMs. Though the recipient would have to be somebody with plenty of space in their inbox.
Um... I only ever have between 3 and 5 spare slots

by T'lainya
I have a bit more 8 or 9 slots. I'm off today and tomorrow, but i work the next 2 days and won't be around much.

Ummm... now that I've suggested it, I guess its up to me to get the ball rolling, huh? Who is a mod in this forum- anyone who is posting in the story? That would be the easiest solution.
Just to be clear, I don't have a problem with you T'l (or anyone else) posting about multiple characters. It just seemed like even more reason to have a post in the resource thread that tracked them all.
Edit- yeah, I have about 3 slots in my PM box too, so I'd prefer not to do it. Gwally is the answer, huh? Where is he anyway?

LOL I try not to be too confusing, but I think I fail quite often
I'm not sure where gwally is..I haven't seen him in a while.

I think character sheets should get it's own thread.
It would all probably fit on a page, maybe two. The character sheets could be updated dynamically as we each reveal more of ourselves (no!, not like that) as the story evolves. That way, when someone makes a change to their character sheet, they can post they've made a change in the discussion thread, and then all can flock to the character sheet thread to observe.
just a thought. i've already got a detailed character sheet done up for pharis.

If I offer my PM box, what else am I expected to do?
Nice posts, BTW
DW, does it feel like home yet?

I think I'm in love.

@Ned,
LMAO! Indeed yes, there could be minors present, nudity would not be a good idea
Hmm... a separate character thread might not be a bad idea either. Initially, I wasn't too sure, but as long as people keep them reasonably brief and informal (i.e not too much worry about sticking to picture perfect D&D rules etc.) it should work well.
I'd be in favour of either option.
@Ysh,
lol! Well, the new place, though there is still not much in it, is beginning to feel like home. We spent a lot of time over there on the weekend, bringing stuff over, unpacking etc.
But right now I am still in the old place, surrounded by a sea of boxes and general chaos

And to complicate things, one of my cats has decided it is great fun to tear tape off of packed boxes
I was thinking that we all could get together if we-myself, Mag, Demo, and anyone else- banded together and tailed BS. My character has some interaction with him in the past, and I'm sure he would be suspicious. Not really mistrustful, but rather he'd be pretty certain that BS would lead him to some answers about the orcs, etc.
I'd say Cuch has reason enough to be suspicious. Depending on when in BS's pasts Cuch had his encounter with him, it could also be highly likely that he simply wouldn't trust BS as far as he could throw him. BS before he originally made his way south from Icewind Dale and into the original DF story was a viscious and nasty character who generally wasn't well liked or trusted due to some circumstances in his past. That would be anytime over about 6-6 1/2 years before present story.
If you want more info on his past to help with the suspicion angle should you decide to go that way, PM me and I'll give you some details, and we'll see where it goes from there.

@ Ned, don't forget the cold beer to go with
A character sheet might help, especially as more details are revealed..errr biographical details of course

I think sticking to D & D rules would be hard as there's quite a number of editions floating around, not to mention optional sets etc. I think Cuch's example is a good template to follow

Z,
Nice reference to insurrection in your post. That was an entertaining book. 335 pages of urban underdark destruction.
