What Do You Want in KotOR III?
Did you mean color cristals or power cristals? Or both?
why not both? you know how you can have six optinonal items in your lightsaber in kotorII? three devices and three crystals? well why not have six devices and six crystals? so then you can make each blade a different color with different capabilities unique to each side of the double bladed saber. see where im headed with this?
what would also be cool is if you had an option to only use one side of the saber if you wanted to. then use a key command to turn the other side of the blade on.

"Ke barjurir gar'ade, jagyc'ade kot'la a dalyc'ade kotla'shya...."
"Ke nu jurkad sha Mando'ade, burc'ya!"
"Ke nu jurkad sha Mando'ade, burc'ya!"
That is exactly how I see it too. There should be two buttons, one for turning each blade on/off. That way you can have first blade, second blade, both or none( I wouldn't recomend fighting with last combination:laugh: ).
"Love" is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope.

I would like to see hooded robes(your wearing the hood) as well as a bunch jedi and sith masks like revans and it would be cool if u could choose your ship as well. What would be best of all is after you do what ever you were supposed to do (beat the game)you will stilll be able to play as that character and cause havok like in the Grand theft auto series:mischief:
Another idea of mine that I wanted to say for a very long time. I got this idea also from Republic Commando about getting someone to activate or use an item. Lets say you want to access a locked door. You could ask someone to set the charges by targeting the door and using the 'F' key to ask a party member who's good with explosives to set the charges. Same goes to hacking a console except that it will be someone who's a tech expert.
Oh by the way, this idea is meant for you to control the main character only and the other party members are AI controlled.

''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
As do I. Good call, Des. Only problem that I foresee is people complaining that that doesn't give you enough control of your party, but I think it gives more, cuz now you can control your party w/o losing control of your MC.
Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.
Quite true. In fact, I really dislike games that allows you to control different people in your team. It feels kind of awkward and cumbersome to me. I'd much prefer games where you can control yourself (main character) and give out orders for others to follow.
I sometimes wonder why people find this control different people type game like Ghost Recon for example, fun to play. I don't mind if I can customise my team members gear, stats or something similar but controlling them is somewhat out of the question for me.

But would it take away from the feel of the last kotor games to change it in the 3rd installment? i understand that the switching can become a problem, but why not try to make it easier to switch from person to person so that you dont have to make a RPG with elements of an FPS like Ghost Recon or Republic Commando?

I don't mind that but can you explain further as to how to make it easier to switch from person to person? Well, I can give some ideas like assinging the number keys to the team members, like '1' for member 1 or something along the lines.
To comment on your sentence, I find it okay for games to take elements from different games and use them to their own advantage. Frankly, this method works in Republic Commando so I don't see how its impossible for the next KOTOR to implement game mechanics from different games (especially different genres) since going for original game mechanics are kind of hard to pull off these days.
This does not mean that I want the next KOTOR to become some FPS or even use the first person view for that matter. They could still retain the RPG-type gameplay but also implementing some of the gameplay elements that make other games (including different types) successful.

thats not what i was trying to say, i should have been clearer. i was trying to make a point that although the party commands work well in Republic Commando, i dont believe that it will work the same way in kotor. i think that the party system works fine in kotor, so why take that away in the 3rd game since most people are used to it by now from playing 1&2.

I'm used to the gameplay, but I hate how incredibly stupid my teammates are. It's frustrating if you want to battle a sith alone to have some fun, make it seem realistic, and your party rushes over and kills them before you get an attack in. I'll admit taking away controlling them won't fix it, but I'd like to fix it some other way, then, like (as I've said before) being able to attack 2 or more people at once w/ a melee weapon.
And Des, I respect your judgement, but the idea for switching w/ #'s won't work. 1-3 are already assigned to attacks, and 4-...7? are assigned for force, mines, etc. Plus, there's only 3 people to switch between. I would like being able to switch in the other direction, but w/e, it's not that big a deal, there's only 3 of your party out at once.
I wouldn't mind having a level or 2 where there's a war or final battle where you have your entire party out, tho, that'd be cool. And hectic. haha

True. But it would be nice if the next KOTOR could successfully implement this command idea from Republic Commando. Anyway, retaining the member switch system will be fine by me. Hope they would just improve the AI since I've had bad experiences playing those type of games like Commandoes: Strike Force (demo) and other similar titles. So, please forgive me for my adamant dislike for member-switching type team-based games.

Ouch. I almost forgot that the number keys are mapped to items, attacks and force powers. My apologies. The truth is that I couldn't be bothered about using the number keys and mostly use the mouse for using items and others. No wonder I can't remember what they're for.
