Halo? Halo was very, very good. The controller on the Xbox is far better than any other console - almost but not quite as good as WSAD and a mouse. tHe game itself is really good-looking, and the gameplay is excellent. I can only talk about the multiplayer, but it is the only FPS I've ever seen which manages to meld in really good vehicle control completely naturally. The map design is also something I was extremely impressed with.
Oh, and I know

Woah...it's almost as good as the WASD configuration??
This, I must see(and try for myself
).I'm kinda hoping to get an X-Box before the end of this year(made all the more difficult since Microsoft decided not to launch it here in this region
)
It's glad to know that you know, don't want you to think that you're being duped and all

I really thought that the controls were great. Especially compared to the GoldenEye/Perfect Dark controls, which to me seemed so...wrong
It did take a while to get used to, but soon I was circle-strafing with abandon, something I could never do on the N64. It also gives you a choice: you use the joystick on the right to look around, but you can use either the right joystick
or the right D-pad instead of WSAD, so you can see which is easier for you to use. There are also plenty of nice game modes, for example a game where you have to capture a skull and keep it on your team's side for as long as possible. And I
love the tank. Thos wouldn't?
Other games we played were Bloodwake, a deathmatchy game with loads of spiky-gunned ships, and Project Gotham Racing, which is gorgeous and a load of fun. I would recommend getting an Xbox, it's the best console I've ever seen
And I may well be being duped, it's just that I know about it

Sounds like a great game to me
.In fact, you, sir, have just made me even more impatient to get an X-Box
.
I was in Australia when I first got a chance to test it out, and I must say, it
is the most powerful console system out there, although I find it a bit lacking in the games department(no MGS2, GT3,etc. )
.My dad and I wanted to get it back then, but then we heard that it was getting a major price cut the following week, so we decided to get it the next time we make a trip there
.

Ummm...a bit of virtual drinking, a bit of
real drinking, quite a lot of virtual stoning, god-knows how much real stoning (Ode???
) and BS shaved the scales off half of my face for spilling his pint. Now I'm going to have that done to me as a
job. Whoopee.
I would tell you about our new drink, the GIGGLE which has rather remarkable laughter- and hypnosis- side effects, but I'll let Brink do that as he made it
Wanna GIGGLE?
So how are you froggie? Did you have a good time in the nether regions of our occasionally-beautiful-yet-constantly-wet country? Did you have a good time with your gf? And lastly and by far the most important, have you submitted your Diplomacy move yet?

About the evil laughter, maybe you could ask Weasel about that, I haven't heard him do an evil laugh for ages, so he must have found some way to control it
We could also get him in here to celebrate his joining Sleepy on 9000+ posts

Morning, all!
@Voo: strange experiences, can't say that I've had anything similar happen to me before
@Kam: I'll PM you your sig shortly and a bit of explanation about the SLURR merchants (DF story). We might move today, but I'll just PM the new link, once we do... Glad to have you on board!
@Frogus: I'm sure me and Brink can work something out...
@BS: sorry to hear 'bout the PoR trouble (only problem I've experienced with my new pc so far, is trying to run Max Payne in difficult mode with a Savage 3-card and a few XP issues with BG
)

My weekend wasn't TOO bad....we had some fun going out on friday, had to sit in a family gathering (for some birhtday of some aunt) for hours on saturday, and I got stoned with 2 girls in the hottub yesterday. (Nothing happened . Really. Not even a little pat on the backside. NADA.Niente.NIX.NOTHING. ...
)
So - naturally I'm a little slow today, but my customers do their best to keep me occupied
....
**downs his C.C.B. and starts into his first glass of shine**
Edit: **wanders around aimlessly to gather up their possesions and packing them into the truck**

Okay, I'm ready to start with the day's activities. Either location is fine by me too.
**Gets a C.C.B. to start the day**
I've rekindled my love for Secret of Mana, possibly the most enjoyable videogame I have ever played. Now I just have to find a SNES and a copy of SoM that I can keep.
