I was away...doing things other than spamming... :p ;)

How the heck would we do that? We don't even know that much about D&D! :D

Though I suppose when we get better at it, it's an idea to consider. :p

I'll see if taking Mag's D&D masterclass helps... :p
Check this site, found it from the forum you suggested me to visit. There is almost everything one needs to know when starting D&D :)

That's the one I recommended to you Kip. At least I posted it here earlier on. :D ;)

Besides, are you saying we could really run a campaign and you know all the numbers now? I know I don't, and I've had a good browse through. :p

That website's a good basis, but there's still more to know I think.

one would definately need the story parts already writed so you can use the "copy-paste" to get the story going, writing it would take ages...

plus the amount of "marks"/post in MSN is very small.... plus how'd you get the die/dice rolls? you throw them yourself, or the DM, and stuff..

Yes well, I said it was crazy idea :D

Like what to know? IMO it's very good collection. Of course, there are some hyper-special information that cannot be found from that site, but do you really think that we would need those at the beginning? ;)

On that website there's a facility for the die rolling. 4, 6, 8, 10, 20, 100 dies.

Sorry, Locke. It must have been all that practice with Juni. No innuendo there...

@Kip, someone has to write the campaign, tell you where the dungeon is, all the background details.

all you need is a campaign, decent DM, preferably more than 1player ;) ... bad DM will suck the fun out.. i haven't really played that much.. just a couple of times with a couple of friends, but still.. DM is the key to the experience being enjoyable..

@kipi: nothing that vital :p

Yep, that's what you'll miss out on through MSN- a Dungeon Master.

Yes. But if we make our own campaign here, I could do that story-thinking. I'm quite good, IMO, to write stories and I've read several D&D based books, so there should be somekind of background. I've also played IWD and IWDII and BG and BGII, so the Forgotten realm is familiar to me

WHat makes you think that way? one person can be DM even in MSN. And you can even change you screen-name in MSN, making it easy to know who are who.

Yeah, I'm probably quite good at that kind of thing too. But you've got to take other stuff into account. Where are traps and secret doors? What's the DC to find them? What monsters? What level are those monsters?

See what I mean?

Yeah, I suppose. But doesn't the fast spamming we do here prove that it would be possible to operate a campaign on a forum more effectively?

Okay, I wasn't going to tell this, but you forced me. ;)
I've been making RPG-game basing on Forgotten Realms. But I've abandoned it for several reasons, none of those had to do with concept of Forgotten Realms. THose reasons were techincal problems, like how to code something and so on. So I've lots of things ready in paper/text files. Plans, maps, stories, etc.

Ah, so you have been doing this kind of thing. :p

If we could get our hands on a proper campaign, something like the 'Eye of the Beholder' campaign perhaps and then use something like that...

Fine, you're faster than GB :D . You can still edit, that works fine most of the time.
At least we've found something to write lots about ;)
