I'm not so good at remembering all the bonuses to the skills and stuff like that.

So, for the character you have to write down these kind of things:
Name, Race, Class, HP, Attribute stats, Iniative, Base Attack Bonus, Attack, Full Attack, AC, Saves, Skills, Equipment, Feats, Spells.

Me neither, but I'm going to refer the site when I'm actually creating my char, as also when I'm going to create that NPC.
And you don't have to remember everything, you just have to remember to where look for advices/rules when you need them

So, are you going to join the game as DM, semi-DM or player?

Well, if you need any tips from the list I provided... I should be able to help with that at least.

What would you prefer me to do?

What about you?

Yes I know. And I also read the tutorial Mag gave to you of creating character

Well, for me, I don't think I have much choice, cause the story is mine ;)
DM

But you, you can join the game as player, as you want. Just tell me before, so I can brief you up with the plot and other important things

Well, for me next step is to complete the story and events, then have a bit depth to it and add more FOrgotten Realms to it (towns, character and so on). Then I'm going to study a bit more of the rules. After that I believe we are ready to begin.

And you, hmmm... what about if you continue you learning process, and try to get some players before I create the the thread for the game. So that people can think their characters early and so on. You can use the plot I've posted earlier here. Also, if you get any good/crazy ideas (ideas in general) you can post them to me, preferly via PM

Excellent. Anything I can do to help?

It's not like I'm incredibly busy recently... :p

I suppose more studying of the rules...
Hmm. Back to my recruiting stage again. :D

You could put something about this in your signature.

Next we should think some general things/rules, like how many players at max, how much time do we give the players to post their reactions and so on.

Great idea! Going to do it immediatly!

Hmm, that's true. And maybe work out times when we'll be around for this.

Maybe you could start some kind of Discussion thread in advance for this. In the Dungeons & Dragons forum here.

Ooh! I'm going to get deluged in PM's. ;)

Yes, that would be good idea. But I'm not going to do it before I've got my story complete, but after that, yes.

ALso those rules could be discussed there, so that players are also able to say their opinion (especially the times we are going to play.)

If we start a new thread, we can get some characters prepared. Help others to do the same, that kind of thing...

Doesn't have to be connected to the story yet.

Yes, but I still think that AFTER the story is ready. It's still going to take a bit for me to learn everything and so on. And I've feeling that most of the players are going to be non-newbie ;)

What do you think, should we have sessions where everyone is online at the same time, we play as long as we play, then we continue next session, which can be decided together. Or should we just decide somekind of time-limit when everyone must post, like 2 days (just an example) and after that time I post again and then during next 2 days players have to post again... and so on.
Which would you prefer?

Evenings are probably the best. That's when most people are around.

Otherwise I'd say it depends on who wants to join in. If there are a lot of people then there's probably going to have to be a time-limit to accomodate the different times they want to post.
It'll probably be a bit slower though.

Yes, and there is other problem in time-limit. What if someone is unable to post for example in next week? That would also be a problem. Of course we can then just decide that we have small break, and that we continue again later.

RAV, you are using MSN right? What if I give you my MSN address so that we can be in contact that way also?

Once we've started is there going to be any way for new people to join? If so, someone could potentially leave for a while and come back later on.
Though any new characters may have to be advanced a level and given better equipment/starting gold etc.

Yes, just click on the MSN icon under my post count. You should get the address that way and add me to your contacts :)

Hmmm, new characters could be hired from tavern or something. That way it would be possible.
And I don't see there is a problem of advancing those characters.

As long as it doesn't get too confusing for new people. Could include some kind of Recall stone like NWN.

So that they could get back to starting tavern? Sorry, but I don't understand how it would help in this situation?
