Hopefully it works. A co worker of mine just handed me his copy, because he can't get it to work on his pc. I am going to try it on mine tonight.

Due to work and shops closing before I stop working, I won't be able to get it before Saturday :( - if you find the time to drop by, please let us know if it's really that good, Mysty :) ** takes a drink from his Jägermeister **

I've had no problemos thus far with NWN. I'm certain I'll fall prey to the conversation bugs popping up that have been corrupting modules so I'm waiting for fixes to add conversation to the many mods I've built.

If it doesn't work on mine, I'll see if my co-worker wants to send it to you. :D Or, he will just have to break down and buy a new video card.

Which brings me to a question, I need to get a new video card. (I still haven't been able to play POR 2.) Any suggestions?

Ciao Beldin.

@McB-I'm not sure, I don't really have much idea whats around anymore as I upgraded just a few months ago.

** downs his Jägermeister ** I'm out of here too, mate - C U tomorrow (if they don't hassle you too much at work, that is :o ).
@all: thanks for making work that much tolerable ;) . Drop by anytime you feel like it! ** heads for the secret lab **
@Ned: I'll post the link, when you've cleared out your PM box, ok? Just PM me, when you have.
EDIT - @McBane: not a Savage 3 3D card  - couldn't play Max Payne in more difficult mode because of it... if you have the money to spare... I've heard a lot of good things about the Geforce cards.

Ooooh beauty!!!

It works :)
Got some crashes, but it loaded just fine now.

I'm actually amazed at how good it's running on my PC. The auto-setup put me on the lowest video settings but I've tried cranking the video details up to the maximum and set the resolution to 1024X??? and it's working just fine. :) Though, I have to admit I still I'll have to see how good it works once there's a little more action on the screen.
Still, so far it's just BEAUTIFUL.
(disclaimer: I've not had many graphic heavy games yet, so I'm easily impressed)

(for info: AMD 1GHz, 128MB RAM, plain GeForce3, WIN98)

Gameplay has been something to get used to as I'm used to BG. I've not played long enough yet to tell if I like the controls or not. So far, they seem to work OK.

What and I'm still struggling is the view. I just can't decide between overhead, chase cam or driver mode. They've all positive and negative sides.

So far, I've only had one henchman to experiment with. I already know that I'm like to be able to give them more specific instructions. Well, I guess that will change once the scripters settle down to the task. Maybe learn to script myself? Hm, not sure if I can do.

Anyway, story-wise, it's been pretty normal fare so far. Intrigue, we need a hero, you're the one we need ...
Well, I'll just have to make up for it using my own imagination. :)

Another thing I've not yet gotten around to is the builder, but I intend to have a closer look tomorrow.

Currently, I'm a human ranger, using mostly the bow.

Guess that's it for now.

cu you round :) :)

eidt:
Two more thing: I forgot to mention that I hope to try out multiplayer some time too.

And, I looked into the toolset and I found a very good-looking falcon in it. :)
Not sure if it can be an animal companion, though.

** returns upstairs and carries out the morning ritual :D ** Thanks for the info, Mysty. So far, the game is good, then. You may also want to check out the Warcraft 3 thread - there's an interesting discussion going on about NWN and WC3, listing some of the stronger and weaker points of each game...

No offense@the "spam away" comment. Unlike others  , we don't deny that SLURRing is a very particular form of spamming, but spamming all the same :D .
