You've been given a perfect opportunity to have all your questions about death answered, and all you can do is hang around arguing with one another about a single, simple German sentence? Is it any wonder I try to get rid of you lot most quickly after you finally pass on? Gah, it's like being forced to watch every episode of Beevis and Butthead in an endless loop! When I agreed to take this job, I never knew humanity was going to prove to be the biggest lot of dullards in the universe! I should have done what my mother suggested, and become a nice, safe celestial mechanic. But noooooo, I had to listen to that interstellar recruiter. Become Death, he said. Have everything pass through your hands, he said. Big responsibilities and they all bow before you, he said. Bah. Bah!

I'm sorry fable -san but you have just lied. Death didn't say that and you know it. He said ,and I quote, "Piss off the lot of you. I want to watch Nikki Knockers Does Paris, and you lot can just go play with your knackers." We provide entertainment for like minded individuals to chat about what is on their minds that does not mean that we dictate to anyone about how they should feel about anything. In fact no one should ever take the advice of a faceless and anonymous person on anything (IMO)

@KK - Please take it easy - take a step back and evaluate.

On a serious note I have been there first hand when a very close (and melodramatic) family member threatened so many times. I have found her, countless times, unconcious and surrounded by alcohol and spilt pills - wondering how many she had taken this time. Ironically when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer she changed her mind about dying. She died at 44, within 4 months of diagnosis, leaving two minors (who now need counselling) to be brought up by family....

I am not saying suicidal people are melodramatic - I am stating that they will affect someone by their selfishness...

On a lighter note, has anyone read Mort by Terry Pratchet? If not - give it a go.

It's part of my 'education'

it is the second book in the Sandman series and there is a charcter in there that applied well to this situation.

I am a recent convert, read Stardust ages back, but haven't seen any of his books in stores until recently
