It's cultural. In some cultures, it's relatively common for an older man to marry a young woman: differences of 30 years are not uncommon: Bedouin communiities are like this, for example, and also allow for multiple wives to one husband. The opposite has also been seen, though not as often. Differences of 10 years of age between a couple are quite common even in our own culture, but no one usually notices because the couple's physical appearance is often quite similar. And really, if the couple doesn't care, why should it be anybody else's business?
...Stop thinking as though modern American commercial culture rules the world, or has ruled it forever.
Read the great literature of other peoples and times, and also books about what they were like/are. And get out there, and travel internationally!
although i am aware of these cultural differences u talk about, my pov has unfortunately been brain washed by the American society (well, at least this aspect of it has). figures...plus, this is my own personal view. as far as polygamy goes, i dont support it, but thats a whole 'nother story
. yeah, i know back in the good old Bible times age difference was gigantic in some cases yet people had great relationships. i guess it all depends on how we see things individually. but thanks for taking the time to make me remember the rest of the world
. ah, tiny little america...my opinion stil stands on wanting revan and bastila back as non-playable characters, by the way

Well, personally, I wouldn't mind Bastila making a return engagement just to watch her walk away from you.

Funny you should say that. The age gap deal is about as prevalent in the U.S. as it is anywhere else in the world. We have people like Harrison Ford with Callista Flockheart, Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Dogulas, Anna Nicole Smith and whoever the rich geezer was she got her money from; there are all kinds of examples, famous and non, where there's a semi-large to large gap in the ages between spouses. Heck, my dad's around 13 years older than my mom. But they're happy, so what does it matter?

Bastilla should get executed for loving (which is against the Jedi Code) a la VtMB. "Jedi don't believe in executeing their prisenors" ahhhh the irony. Then Revan Should have an intergalactic hunt for revenge. But what if you told her "You wont feel a thing and cut off her head in Kotor I?

excuse me. are you comparing anna nicole smith to Revan?
anyways if you start out with a charatcer thats twenty, then 50 is kind of old, isnt it. The maority of weddings dont have a 30 year old age gap. Sorry to the forty year olds on this board looking for 20 year olds in bars. No offence.

Why yes, yes I am. Revan is the Anna Nicole Smith of the Star Wars universe.
(I know you were joking, and I'm sure you know what I really meant; I was just going on the age difference tangent everyone else was on)

I have finally decided that Bastilla will definatly return and play very major part. Revan will cameo, but he has lost his powers. the main pc will be a young person who as it will trun out was discovered by bastilla a long time ago on dantooine, and you were one of the handful of survivors fromt he attack on it by Malak. and the game is based round your main hero trying to get revenge for the all the deaths, and beijng faced with a lifechangong and universe changing decison, and then in the final battle you fight the evil Darth ...... MALAK, whos got reincarnated by the star Forge and its heading towards a small unknown planet with its sister faciity the earth forge, and in the end yoy have to either save the earth forge and kill malak, or destroy everyhting in site with the star forge and kill Revan, and no matter what you get Bastilla!!!!

I'll probably be flamed for saying this, but I think they will only return as apparitions and minor characters as in tsl.
I'd like to see them both as playable characters, but if you have played tsl, you know what happens to Batilla after the first game.
I'm sure we will see the return of HK-47 and Mandalore, as well as T3-M4. I'm sure there will be the possibility for another Wookie in the crew, as well as another set of romantic possibilities.
If what the bit from bioware says in the other thread is true, then many of the characters from the first two games will be much older. That makes it difficult to load up the player's combat team with folks who know just too darn much.
Certainly the Ebon Hawk will return, as well as the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine.

What makes you think youll be flamed?
I can give you some links to several threads with hundreds of replies that have people that agree with you...me being one of them.
Agreed on the jedi enclave returning...and the Ebon Hawk has a good following. But who knows? Definitely not me, havent been keeping my ears wide open for news lately.

You won't get flamed on this board, Alpha Hazard--and if you do, report the post. The site owner has fire-resistant guts, and eats flamers for dinner.

I just felt that my opinion, that the develpers would give Bastilla and Revan small parts in this next sequel as well; was an unfavorable one. And when I say flamed, I mean just criticized heavily.

I don't see why you would be. As nobody has any facts on the matter, there's no logic to apply. One person's opinion is as good or foolish as another's.

Exactly. Trust us, that this site has seen many ideas and opinions on this subject...and not one has been flamed.
Nice thing about GB.

I agree with the more than 3 party members...I understand the logic of guarding the ship, but please.
Its more likely that they would comewith you.
You want to turn KotOR into a hack and slash?

Yeah i would like it to be hack and slash it just more fun for me personally. but even if it wont come out that way its fine with me. also i would like it if lightsabres have more colors, and u can put more upgrade crystals in them. i think it would be great if you just kill anyone u want just cause they look at u funny. with the exception of people essential to completing main quests. it would also be great if u could have a droid like general greivous. or better yet . what do u think if they made a kotor. following someone in th SW movies such as luke or anakin. just a thought

I say you should be either a random force sensitive that revan picked up in the outer rim and follow down that path OR Your a jedi knight (handmaiden/otherdude(?)) and you are sent in serch of Revan to find/help him and learn what you can. You start on coruscant with a random mission you complete then you get your next assignment (find rev) gget on a ship (NOT EBON HAWK THAT SHIP NEEDS TO BURN IN THE FIRES OF MY LIGHTED GASEOUS EXCRETIONS)and go to a random set of coordinates that the coun cil somehow has. On that planet you find a small shabby tomb, inside is Revans body you can pillage his body for, 1 his lightsaber, crystals, and upgradee parts (not the top o the line but not pieces of excrement either) and that cool mask that Dark Side Revan wear (I want that mask no matter how the gme works out) there is also a data pad that semi explins why/how he died. the skip to cutscene Revans spirit appears he is hooded so that probs of customization are no more, and he tells you everything that happened, the exile is still fighting(it was he who built the tomb) it was their mission to sabotage the true sith hierarchy to delay an invasion of republic (it is yours to decide wether to delay until revan took over and could lead himself or to save the staggering republic) you have 6 planets for main questions (one is that one that starts with an S the the hssiss come from) one is yodas homewrold (you get a yoda due in your party) one is coruscant and three are never before seen sith worlds you have to go under cover on (one could be wilderness like dxun and kashykk) and then you go to a final seventh planet (TS capitol) you have to duel/assassinate the current leaders of TS and the beuracratic council members, also you find the exile in a jail being tortured you can listen to his story and then decide to end his life mercifully as he asks you to or to torture him to death. and they have adark side yoda (ive always wanted to fight yoda)

Uber strong
Ok see if they were to do a Revan and/or Bastilla returning they don't need to make them Uber strong.
Think about it, Canderous/Mandalore was level 20 with lots of nice feats at end of KOTOR I and then at beginning of KOTOR II he is level 5 with nothing! Why?
All they would need to do, remember the plot line of KOTOR II, is make it so that Revan returns from beyond the outer rim and is broken by the TS. Bastilla heals him but she grows weak. If they did this they would both be weak but then you still have Exile's group and Revan's group merged together and they would be at mixed levels. I think that they need to do what I say! The most important part of how we can hypothesize is if we knew when KOTOR III would be based.
On a side note, why can't soldiers learn to use a lightsaber? I know that they say it is a tricky weapon to master but that doesn't mean that if you are a Jedi you are good at it and that if you are not a Jedi you can't wield it at all.
I want to see a regular republic solder getting his beaten by a large force pull out a lightsaber and go on a killing spree. That would be awesome!

Tovec, your idea is the best one I've heard so far. Whoever's supposed to be doing KotOR III should listen to you!
Having the Revan Team working together with the Exile Team,
and having Revan her(him)self as well would be pure bliss... *drool*
But I doubt it'll happen. It's too perfect to be true.
