I think a ship should be taken out of it. Remember Kreia said Revan would need Jedi and Sith to help him in the unknown reigons to fight the true sith empire. She said Revan left his companions and his ship behind because he wouldn't need them. So the ship needs to be taken out completely.

then would you care to explain how Revan (and K3's group, for that matter) got to the unknown regions in the first place? and no, this ship doesn't NEED to be taken out. you're not going to be going to only 1 or 2 places, not if the producers have any brains

Ebon Hawk, slightly, but I'd want it more customizable (add rooms, add interactable objects, etc.)

i think at first you should get the ebon hawk, but after a long journey to your first planet or something it crashes, and you have to find a new ship. that is where you can buy the new ship, that is where it comes in. It could be called anything, like black hawk, or the silver zephyr( reference KOTOR 2) or anything, but it is only one ship, you cant choose, it is the only option. If you had options for ships, it would take up so much memory, every video to a different planet would have to change to a different ship, and it would be bad.
KOTOR III will be coming out in 2008 on 360!! I saw it posted on a magazine!!

agreed, but it still would be nice to have the choice, right? memory and vids aside, of course

If you are not going to use the Ebon Hawk you should have choice. I don't want to have a ship forced on me unless it's the Ebon Hawk, since it's alomst a symbol for the game.

Justin

I reckon you should start off with the ebon hawk, and as you processed in the game and reach a certain point you are able to buy mods for your ships or buy/ design a new ship, through building a new ship should be extremely expensive.

You should have more controls over the systems in your ships, such as the turbo lift in the ebon hawk, ( in KOTOR 2 you can use the lift in the first mission, but after that you cant), (and also in KOTOR 2 you can open doors inside the ship in one level), you should be able to open and close doors on your own ships at any time.
This is a little extra which would be properly impossible, you should be able to do a pilot training course, and then be able to fly your own ship.

T3 already does in K2, though nothing is really repaired...

This is a good idea. Will give the player a challenge before being able to fly the ship. By the way, if GTA: San Andreas can do this, I don't see how this is impossible to implement in KOTOR 3. ;)

Let's just say he's doing his maintenance rounds. ;) Anyway, I would like it if your team members move around the ship (interacting, doing their stuff) instead of just standing like scarecrows doing nothing.

The ship you get could depend on how you begin. If you a good you get the Ebon Hawk, however if you are sith you get a new ship. If the syoryline continues from KoTOR 2 it makes sence. At the end of KoTOR 2 you are told that you are going to find reven but if you are good the ebon hawk carrys you away but if you are evil the ebon hawk dies. So you might get a choice at the begining of becomeing a sith or jedi and depending on that is what ship you get. thats just a idea

well i also like the ebon hawk but same ship in all 3 games?! no i would like something new if k3 comes like the ability to purchase your ship during the game.

just as a idea. You could start the game without a ship and "tag along" on a republic warship being part of its crew in carrying out its duties ex. riot control, surveillence, peace keeping, investigation etc Then when you get money you could purchase your ship and some time during the game you find out about the ebon hawk/revan/exile and get the quest to acquire the ebon hawks (wich is wrecked) nav computer in order to follow the two.

A hard choice for Notch

I would like to have the Ebon Hawk back for KotOR III. I think it's a ship that should come back for the third installment. Although, depending on the story line, this may or may not be a realistic dream. I voted to see the Ebon Hawk as the ship, but if there is a new starship, I hope, at the very least the Ebon Hawk makes a couple of appearances.

You should start off with the Ebon Hawk; the Get a new one built or buy one if you want. The upgrades idea is great too

yea but wouldnt be cool if we had to have a ship like a sith ship to make sure to get passed a blockade or to get on a planet or somthing oh and i dont think im alone on this but i think we should be albe to play after we beat the game with the same player or somthing just so you could battle harder ppl or somthing oh and etiting the swoop bike would be nice to

Larger ship

I think it would be better if you started out with a decent ship (like Ebon Hawk), but then by following quests on the side of either the Sith or republic, you could get better ships by doing quests for them. Only ever one ship. But eventually get like a Hammer-head class republic cruiser or something.

Not a bad idea, though that Hammer-head shaped cruiser is a little overkill. In my opinion, a ship in the same class as the Ebon Hawk should be enough for your party of 8 - 10 members. It's not like you're commanding an army or something.

just my 2 cents

The Ebon Hawk is ok and gets high marks for tradition. I just want more to do onboard. Side quests etc. that may use the EH or some other ships. Real time swoop racing and shooting tie fighters helped break up the rpg. I'm sure flying the EH through an asteroid field to get to a side quest would be fun, but it would have to be better designed than the swoops (worst part of the game).

Why not the Millennium Falcon? Well, at least not the Ebon Hawk, it's dark and kind of scary  , especially in K2 with Kreia on board. Althought it's shouldn't be a complete new ship, but more the Ebon Hawk is similar to 1000 Falcon.

by Millenium Falcon i assume you mean not the Falcon itself, but a YT-1300 model? that wouldn't be bad, i personally prefer the EH style. i never found it to be dark and scary, though. even with Kreia, it felt "home-ish". i just felt isolated in k2 because everybody is just kind of "bleh". at least in k1, people sounded happier to talk to you.
