@Mike: I have nothing against changing leadership every so often, but what if it comes at a rather bad time (Guild War, or many deserters) Thats why I think it should be more of a council choice to expel someone from the leadership role. Besides, if your busy, thats what Seconds are for. When your gone, they're in command.

Here I must agree with Aegis that a civilised council take the decisions (one man one vote (and not on one self of course)) rather than a primal selection of the leaders. I think that it would be a good idea for the fighter's wing since it would fit "their way". Mages could have a council, the fighters a one-on-one etc.
But all in all it will also be very complicated keeping track of dates and fights were a council would be easier to administrate. Once a month we vote, is he good he will stay if not a new leader will have the chance to show his worth as a leader of one of the great wings. It is easy, fair and fast.

i would liek to know the basic of promotions i would rather be voted for or appointed by the counsil instead of fighting someone for it simple rivalry can be good but i do not want the blood of a guild fellow on my hands even though i know you don't kill them

for fun fights are ok with me to test each others skills i just do not want to fight for position because that to me is not as good as being chosen the the counsil i don't know just my opinion

Okay - I need to get this straight.
We have settle on the idea of 3 ranks within each wing.
A guild-wing leader
5 of next rank
and the rest of the last rank.
If somebody could find out what the different ranks should be called (Wing-buisness) and PM them to me, then I'll update it when I get back to this board again from my vacation.
Also there seems to be agreement about the voting-system for promotion.
@Nippy - could you mess together some "guidelines"/"rules" and mail them to me so I can post it when I get back.
EDIT: We also need to figure out how we handle multiclasses - what wing they should be member of, if they choose one, or there is sleceted one for them, or something. I don't think they should be member of 2/3 wings

Incoming fighter rankings...
Warlord
War Council (Five Members)
The rest of dem Grunts
For multi class, I think it should be what they started out as. So Fighter/ Mage would be in the Fighter wing, and such.

i don't think dual classes and multiclasses shoudl be allowed to hold positions in guild wings just my opinion

@Nikolai: The mutli-class characters shouldn't be denied from holding rank, but there going to have to chose one wing.

You fighters have such primitive mannerisms. Oh well, swing away, if the practice saves my neck some day.

Well, i find leadership in general to be quite trivial as no individual can make the right decisions everytime (roleplaying my alignment here, don't lynch me), but if you find leadership to be a necessity, it might as well be done properly, less the corrupted taint of evil seep into those in command. I approve of Xandax's ideas on wing-ranks AND class-ranks, and feel the two should be melded. I'll go ahead and work against my ethos by helping to build up this form of leadership. I suggest the lowest rank for the knights of the Divine Wing, paladins, be squire, or some such term. For the Rogues, the lowest rank could be footpad. Take or leave these suggestions. I care not, as this whole affair is a waste of time. There is no order but that of the individual striving for greater good.

@Average Joe: Don't worry. We won't "Lynch" you. Boys, get the kindling!
