Yup, CE! You hit it RIGHT IN THE HEAD!!!
Speaking of head injuries I have this scar on my left forehead after getting into a fight with a group of jerks with home-made flails and baseball bats.

My worst biking accident was about 6 years ago. I was going down a hill while trying to stand up on the pedals. My foot got caught in the bike frame and I went over the handlebars, skidding along the ashphalt road. All I got from this was grazed knees and elbows.
My current injuries is a blister on my thumb that is taking its time to heal.

Thank you Sleep
Sooner or later I'll be there, I've been thinking of going back to Wales since last time I was there. Many years ago I passed through parts of Northen Wales, I only stopped for the day. About 6 years ago, I travelled along the coast from South to North, then I stayed in or close to Snowdonia for hillwalking and moutainbiking
. I was staying at a very nice B&B that was in the house were Hillary planned the Everest expedition, so it was a bit of climbing history
I've only seen Brecon Beacons at pictures, but it looks very beautiful, and my next trip to Wales will certainly go there

Wales is a strange country, it can vary greatly from beauty to degredation *ahem* Merthyr *cough*. I think i have been to every single castle in wales, i even did the classic holding Pembroke Castle up
Brecon Beacons is really quite beautiful, don't forget to also go through the Elan Valley, and look at the reservoirs

I had a biking accident around age 10-11, I was out testing my new bike with a group of friends. We went downhill quite fast, when the girl in front of me suddenly hit the brakes, and when I went past her, my wheel got stuck in hers and I flew through the air, landing on my chin on the asphalt road. I lost consciousness and 8 molars, but I was lucky not to get any head injuries. The worst was when I got to the dentist later, opening your mouth with a jaw concussion isn't very nice, and him picking out all the fragmented teeth from my mouth and throat was a horror. At first, I had porcelain crowns, but a few years ago I changed them to ceramic crowns - much stronger, they will probably last longer than my real teeth
Whoa...
When my mom was little, she had a biking accident. She was riding her bike and something(purse strap, I think) got caught in the wheel and she flipped over the handlebars. I don't think she lost any teeth, though.
I broke two fingers once, were unsuitable since I was playing the piano then, couldn't exercise for several weeks, my piano teacher almost got a nervous break down
The closest I have come to breaking a bone, other than a concussion(if that counts), is bruising one of the bones in my right forearm. I was trying to get back into Hal Peterson Middle School about an hour after school had let out for the day so I could retrieve my binder from my locker because I had gone out to the car without it. The reason this happened so late after school is because I had gotten detention. Anyway, HPMS locks the doors after a certain point. You can go out them, but you can't go in. I was trying to get in through one door when someone came out the other door. I hurried over to keep the door from closing and tripped over the doorstopper on the ground. As I fell, my forearm slammed into the doorhandle. I managed to keep the door open, though! I had to keep something wrapped around my arm and keep it in a sling for about a week. The next day, at school, a classmate didn't believe I had actually injured my arm, so he punched me. Needless to say, the pain from my injured arm getting punched resulted in a screem from me that drew the teacher's attention and got the idiot boy in big trouble.
I didn't get many injuries as a child - later thought, when I started climbing, I had some accidents. Most climbers come to a point where they either die or decide to change their life style. A friend of mine got a falling rock over himself and broke his leg at several places in a very complicated manner. It took 6 months to heal. At the time he thought himself very unfortunate not to be able to go on an expedition with 25 other people in his climbing club. All 25 were killed in an avalanche. After that, he quit climbing. If you marry, get children, want a normal life - then you really have to quit climbing. I quit about 5 years ago when my orthopedic surgeon and physiotherapist both said there was a major risk of me being in a wheelchair by 40 if I don't stop putting this kind if strain to my knees. (I'd damaged my knees both by ballet training and falling). Either I live a normal life and just aviod very hard exercise, or I continue and risk a future in a wheelchair. So, I chose the former, and the only things I can't to is regular running, downhill skiing and exercises that includes a lot of jumps like ballet or aerobics. I still love the mountains and love hillwalking and I still do some low-risk climbs. except for a few rare occations when I've been too enthusiatic, got carried away and done some very stupid things, like the summit free climb in Greenland 3 years ago, well, let's forget about that, I will not happen again - I hope
I already have bad knees. *marks mountainclimbing/rockclimbing/whatever-it-is off her list of things to do, even though it was never on her list of things to do*

I have only seen the beautiful parts so far. Merthyr, whats wrong with that? I haven't seen it, but I thought it was a nice town. Or is like the old industrial/mining towns in England, just smaller?
Elan Valley, I'll remember that. The husband is actually lobbying for us to go to Wales already this summer
I haven't decided yet - I can never decide where I want to go until it's time for holiday and I know what I feel like
Last time I tried to plan a long time in beforehand, I planned to go to Guersey and ended up in Thailand

Ouch!
What a stupid idea, why would anyone keep the arm in a sling if it wasn't injured? Doesn't sound like great fun to me

Add classical and jazz ballet, all sorts of downhill skiing (snowboard might be OK though depending on the type of knee problems), regular running (oh, I really miss that
), aerobics and football (soccer).

I can't believe that I was stupid enough to take up skateboarding. Have a few scars from them, minor though
As for those skate parks, death traps!
is a more appropiate name for it. Anything that has a rail placed in front of an incredibly steep ramp is bound to cause you a
lot of pain as I just happened to find out.
Man I've done some really dumb things in my life.

Well Merthyr has the second highest crime rate in Wales (to my knowledge) only just behind Swansea. The actual place is quite attractive, but the population are less so. It was a former mining town, and when mining became less of an industry it hit hard. They were also home to one of the worse land slides in Welsh history
It is a little over industrialised compared to some of the other smaller towns.
It can be fantastic
That would be cool
