I didn't know you were into that. Would you like the addy to my websight? I can waive the CC fee for you of course.
And for the record, I said between posts, not during.....that was Weasel you were thinking of.

Guess what? I got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!
That's okay nothing wrong with slightly lesbian parts on Buffy.
Ugghhh bad image, Weasel killing kittens, why lord why? and while he is on SYM yet even.
I shall never repent of killing kittens.

Me neither. Anything really fatty will do as blister cream, I use one with marigold and bee wax . Better still is to use Compeed or similar products so you don't get any blisters. You off hiking?
right yes, I almost forgot you are from Sweden
Marigold and bees wax - sounds yummy. Incidentally is the bees wax for its anti-bacterial properties?
Hmm yes hiking. Are you planning any trips 'hiking' yourself?
I didn't really bounce Eeyore. I had a cough, and I happened to be behind Eeyore, and I said "Grrrr-oppp-ptschschschz."

Sometimes I'm surprisingly naive for my age
"Hiking" is one of my largest interestest, although I always have company - perhaps for the good of the cat population. However, for the kitten killing type of hiking, I do recommend silicon oil - you'll never get blisters no matter how long you hike

I assume that this information comes from a respectable scientific journal?

Actually no, it's not yet published. We are still collecting data, it's a longitudinal study Preliminary results however clearly shows a significant difference.

Its good to see that there is real scientific research going on out there when so many funds are wasted on inconsequential and ill thought out projects. In fact I’m interested in doing my bit for science - any chance of me taking part in the research.

I don’t know what kind of hiking CE is doing, but I always thought water based was they way to go, since it cleans up easier and won’t break down latex (should you be wearing latex socks during your hikes.) No one wants to climb to the summit only to find they’ve worn a hole in their sock.
Then darkness took me, and I strayed out of thought and time

Is that called hiking? Anyway, people will be shocked to find you looking like a seal washed ashore on the summit, don't you think?

Thank you Tom, of course I wouldn't waste tax-payers money on other projects than the most urgent and important. If you wish to participate as a subject in this study, I'll send over some forms for you to fill in. Also, you must choose whether you prefer to test out solo hiking or hiking with a partner.

Holes in the socks must be avioided, but silicon oil actually decreases the risk for holes since it doesn't break down latex, and the friction between the sock, your foot and the shoe is less than with water based products. It cleans off easily with mild soap and water, and I guess we all think it's nice to use soap when washing after a hard hike.

If you wear leather - socks - you dont have that problem. Leather is better for the skin as it lets it breathe. You want your skin to be in the best condition on you feet.

Minerva, I don't know what you are talking about, but this is the most frightening visual I've had in quite some time. Doc Waverly suggests you hike in the dark if this is happening to you.

If this frightened Waverly, the world is coming to an end.

Leather is a very nice material, certainly better for the skin. One problem though is that the thickness of leather makes your feet less movable and some people might think lether socks removes the feeling of contact between your foot and the shoe. It's a matter of personal taste of course, personally I prefer the modern kind of plastic socks - almost like walking barefoot
I'd better stop before the Mods close this thread.

If you stick to the same pair of boots and dont share them, then barefoot shouldn't be a problem.
Im sure the mods welcome a frank dicussion about foot hygine.

If you have a pair of shoes and aren't sharing, I'd say you are just a little bit greedy. Unless of course you have 2 feet.
Besides, you never know where shoes have been or where they will end up. Not to mention, your every day shoes don't look so good when you are dressed up. d&r

Gee i thought we all had two feet. Very handy actually since using both at the same time gets you to were you want to be so much faster. Or you can of course use one and then switch over when the first is tired. It also makes hiking a lot more fun.
I'm well known for being greedy.
Well im of on that hiking trip. see ya all
