I say we do feild experiments with different variables, like texture, size etc etc.
So who is ready to help out with this?

Either. Both. They're both fun, each has it's good points and (comparatively speaking), bad points.

Personally go for private. Not too much display of that "sort" in public do to cultural constraints, which bite big time.

It's not quite so bad in Oz, you get a few annoyed looks from old ladies is all. However there are constraints on how involved you can get before being arrested, so that's where in private wins out every time.

Noticing the lack of any female presence here and the direction this once-feminist thread has taken, I'm inclined to remember the old adage that starts "When the cat's away..."

But for me it is far different. As i am Pakistani and in our facted up culture for some reason dating is a sin, which it is not from what i know about my religion. It is the act of pre-martial sex which is a sin. Not dating. Yet these idiots don't know what they are talking about and say that the only reason for dating is to get laid. I do agree that is a part of it, but not the whole thing. Plus i know friends who have dated without ending up in bed with the girl.

So me walking around with a girl arm in arm is a big social taboo, and there is pretty small pakistani community in geneva. So once the word is out you are marked for life. And old women have nothing facting better to do than gossip and say this and that. That just really annoys the bloody hell out of me. It is none of their business. Thank God to date they haven't see me.

Interestingly enough my parents a cool with the idea, as they know if i get married it will be to a Pakistani girl, so they have nothing to worry about. But within the pakistani society 50% of the stuff i do, ie going to bars, hanging with girls as friends etc etc would have blacked listed me for life if i was in pakistan at this moment.
