True, their songs do sound very similar, dont they?
Another group I forgot to mention was the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Again, that voice is quite annoying, IMO. I dont like the style of guitar, either, and its another overplayed band on the radio.

Good man. A friend of mine is into Slipknot, and I question his musical taste too.

I just finished reading my first Forgotten Realms novel: Elminster: The Making of a Mage, by Ed Greenwood. Was I supposed to like this? No character development, predicable, trite, disjointed. Greenwood is supposed to be one of the better writers of the genre, right?

The Chili's are genii...BSSM is an amzing record, and One Hot Minute's very good too...I haven't heard their new stuff, but I heard it's ****. 'Sounds like the Strokes' was the opinion of my most knowledgeable and reliable source.
*shudders* urrgh. The Strokes.

I liked them a little bit when I first heard them, but, literally, after I heard 3 of their songs, I heard enough out of them. Their style, IMO, got too old, too fast.

I don't like the "classic" Command & Conquer computer game series. I thought the Warcraft series by Blizzard was much better at the time.

The Life of SYM.
Scene 4,"
The stoning." :
freely quoted from the script:
Word:
Look. I don't think it ought to be blasphemy, just saying 'Oasis'.
CROWD:
Oooh! He said it again! Oooh!...
Frogus:
You're only making it worse for yourself!
Word:
Making it worse?! How could it be worse?! Oasis! Oasis! Oasis!
CROWD:
Oooooh!...
No worries,
Beldin

Ahh. I remember the sixteen thousand word essay I once wrote under exactly that title...
![Eek! :o](./images/smilies/)
*digs around in laundry basket*
Ahh...here it is: 'Why I Don't Like The Strokes'. It really is awfully long, so I'll just skip through to give you a vague idea...
*clears throat*
I don't like the Strokes because...blah blah blah...crap haircuts...blah blah blah...clothes too small...blah blah blah...think they're clever...blah blah blah...wish they were born thirty years ago...blah blah blah...just copy a bunch of Ramones tunes only slowed down a bit...blah blah blah...middle-class ponces...blah blah blah...retro-obsessed imbeciles...blah blah blah...no credibility...blah blah blah...stupid haircuts...blah blah blah...
after that it gets a little repetitive

Hey Frogus and Word, I said no discussions about particular things in this thread, only short comments about why you dislike what you you are supposed to like, please.
