Note the way he writes "staring" for "starting." They should rename this place "The Pheremone Lounge."

Fashion - yuk
Just when you find a place that suits your mood it becomes flavour of the month and all the ambiance is wrecked by hoards of trendsetters on some retro riot.
Surly, a bucket of water if you please.
The next couple who try to make babies in here are going to get it but good. - Curdis !

Just don't go making a spectacle of yourself and I'm sure you'll fit right in.

Ah, now this seat is really comfortable (as far as lumpy bar stools go)!
I'll have a cup of that sludgy coffee and a shot of anything close at hand!
Someone turn that damn jukebox down!
*turns to Fable* Hey, pull my finger....

Or better yet, since this place is supposed to have no real trends and everything is nothing new, I was thinking a game of chess...except all pieces are grey...I figured the black and white pieces were too loud and trend setting, so I compromised and made a full set of grey pieces.

Grey pieces? That would just add to my mediocrity at chess....

Backgammon? In my day, we took lances, mounted horses, and speared one another to death. Then we hit breakfast. After a hearty meal, we went out an slew a couple of trolls. Following lunch, we invaded another kingdom, and put all its people to slaughter. After dinner, we rescued a gaggle of virgins. That took care of the rest of the night.
Really, you youngsters are far too decadent.

I'd watch where you put your knees. We spit a lot, down there. Goes well with the checker tournaments.

Hey, I bet the food here is nice and greasy, simply loaded with saturated fats and good ol' HDL cholesterol. I'll take a generous serving of arterial blockage, thank you.
*looks at Z groveling*
Goodness....kids these days.
*throws Z a quarter* Here, sonny, go get something for yourself...and get up off the floor, for Pete's sake.

An Old Man's Bar, eh?
...here is my contribution to this joint...
...*puts in to big jars of tuba*...
...These here are what we call "too-BA"... made from fermented coconut juice.
Old folks in the provinces back home love these stuff.
...you could also put a wicker in it, and you'd end up with a blue-flame lamp.
