A friendly reminder.

It has been quite a bit often now that posters seem to forget the forum rules regarding swearing and avoiding the filters.

This particular topic is very prone to the use of unwarranted words and expressions, so please, be cognizant of what you post.

If I were to catch another incidence of "forgetfulness" I would just delete the whole post. Fellow forum and super mods would still see the original post for what it was and they may undo or modify my previous action. ;)

With that, have a nice day and post responsibly. :)

From Ninotchka:

Ninotchka: Must you flirt?
Count Leon d'Algout: Well, I don't have to, but I find it natural.
Ninotchka: Suppress it.

Other than my sig... definitly one of my favorite movie quotes would be..

Raoul Duke: What Leary took down with him was the central illlusion of a whole lifestyle that he helped create. A generation of permanant cripples who never understood the mystic fallacy of the acid culture a desperate assumption that somebody or at least some force, was tending the light at the end of the tunnel. There was only one road back to L.A. - Route 15. Then onto the Hollywood Freeway, into obscurity. Just another freak, in the freak kingdom

Elwood: Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don't fail us now.

Il Duce: Never shall innocent blood be shed, yet the blood of the wicked shall flow like a river. The Three shall spread their blackened wings and be the vengeful striking hammer of God.

(edit) oh yeah btw. Fear and loathing in Las Vegas, Blues Brothers, Boondock Saints (All are recommended watching for all)

A High and Beautiful Wave

My favorite quote would be when Duke Raoul is talking about the Great San Fransisco acid wave. From Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas; "San Fransisco in the mid 60's was a very special time and place to be a part of. Has it been five years? Six? It seems like a lifetime; the kind of peak that never comes again. No explaination, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time in the world, whatever it meant.
There was madness in any direction, at any hour you could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning. That I take, was the handle. That sense of inevitable victory over the forces of old and evil. Not in any military sense, we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail, we had all the momentum. We were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high water mark; That place where the wave finally broke, and rolled back..." That is one of my favorite quotes. It sends chills down my spine every time I watch it.

Another one is from Scarface; "...all I got in this world are my balls and my word, and I don't break them for NOBODY!!"

Tootles.
Rutger Hauer, Blade Runner:
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe- attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion; I've watched sea-beams glitter in the darkness at Tanhauser Gate*...all those moments will be lost in time...like tears in rain. Time to die..."
This is my favourite too... and the only acceptable line in the voice-over is noteworthy, although mostly for the delivery:

"Sushi, That's what my wife calls me. Cold fish."

Kelly's Heroes:

Oddball: Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Another TF:TM quote that's my favorite.

*at the Decepticon headquarters on Cybertron, Starscream is preparing for coronation as leader of the Decepticons, the scene beginning with some trumpeting of horns from the Constructicons*

*atop a staircased platform, Astrotrain tries to put the crown on Starscream's head, but gets interupted by another round of horns*

Starscream: *agitated* Get on with the ceremony!

*anoter flourish of horns; Starscream uses his laser cannon to blast the horns to pieces, the Constructions having a look of dread on their faces*

Starscream: *Astrotrain places the crown on his head* My fellow Decepticons, as your new leader, I... *gasps as a large futuristic fighter jet barges in and lands* WHO DISRUPTS MY CORONATION!?

Galvatron:*exits Cyclonus, who transforms to robot mode* Coronation, Starscream? This is bad comedy!

Starscream: Megatron, is that you?

Galvatron: Here is a hint! *transforms into cannon mode, blasts Starscream with a shot so powerful that the traitor disintegrates, the crown bouncing down the steps to the floor, where the rebuilt leader reverts to robot mode and crushes it under his foot**

Galvatron: *looks to the other Decepticons with a threatening glare* Will anyone else attempt to fill in his shoes?

Rumble: *frightened* What'd he say his name was?

Galvatron: Galvatron.

Decepticons: LONG LIVE GALVATRON! GALVATRON!!

Another quote from Ninotchka:

Comissar Razinin: This anonymous report was sent to me! "They're dragging the good name of our Soviet nation through every cafe and nightclub. Here: How can the Bolshevik cause gain respect among the Muslims if your three representatives Bujlianoff, Iranoff and Kopalski get so drunk that they throw a carpet out of their hotel window in Istanbul, and complain to the management that it didn't fly?"

One of my favorite Boondock Saints quotes:

Doc: You know what they say: People in glass houses sink sh... sh... sh... ships.
Rocco: I got to buy you a proverb book or something, because this mix 'n' match <snip>'s got to go.
Doc: What?
Connor: Well, a penny saved is worth two in the bush, isn't it?
Murphy: And don't cross the road if you can't get out of the kitchen.

Paul Smecker: You know, you Irish cops are perking up. That's two sound theories in one day, neither of which deal with abnormally sized men. Kind of makes me feel like Riverdancing.

Maybe its an omen  .

Perhaps its because I'm about to post quotes from a filthy, inappropriate but oh-so-brilliant film... Trainspotting :D

"Mark: In a thousand years, there will be no men and women, just w***rs, and that's fine by me."

"Tommy: Six weeks and no sex?
Spud: I've got balls like watermelons, I'm telling you."

"Mark: I dream brilliant gold taps, virginal white marble, a seat carved from ebony, a cistern full of chanel number five, and a flunky handing me pieces of raw silk toilet roll. But under the circumstances I'll settle for anywhere." (proceeds to enter the worst toilet in Scotland :D )

Pure class :D

I just watched Space Balls yesterday, I must say there are some really funny parts in that movie, just like someone signature indicates. This is nice part.

DARK HELMET
What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie?

COL SANDURZ
Now. You're looking at now, sir. Everything that happens now, is happening now.

DARK HELMET
What happened to then?

COL SANDURZ
We passed then?

DARK HELMET
When?

COL SANDURZ
Just now. We're at now, now.

DARK HELMET
Go back to then.

COL SANDURZ
When?

DARK HELMET
Now.

COL SANDURZ
Now?

DARK HELMET
Now.

COL SANDURZ
I can't.

DARK HELMET
Why?

COL SANDURZ
We missed it.

DARK HELMET
When?

COL SANDURZ
Just now.

DARK HELMET
When will then be now?

COL SANDURZ
Soon.

Who can forget that unforgettable classic Airplane! :p

"Roger Murdock: We have clearance Clarence.
Captain Oveur: Roger, Roger. What's our vector Victor?
Tower voice: Tower's radio clearance, over.
Captain Oveur: That's Clarence Oveur. Over.
Tower voice: Roger.
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Tower voice: Roger, over.
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Captain Oveur: Huh?"

"Elaine: There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane? "

"Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious.
Rumack: I am serious... and don't call me Shirley. "

"Captain Oveur: You ever been in a ****pit before?
Joey: No sir, I've never been up in a plane before.
Captain Oveur: You ever seen a grown man naked? "

"Rumack: Mr. Striker, the passengers are getting worse. You must land soon.
Ted Striker: Surely there must be something you can do.
Rumack: I'm doing everything I can... and stop calling me Shirley. "
