GADZ, must Kipi really have to prove his gender?
I suggest BS checks this one out. His Tunneling Adventures would give you a good idea on that.

Hullo, I recently happened to drop by again, and noticed this nomination thread! I'd like to add a few nominations of people who haven't been mentioned yet and really deserve the honour in my view. Oh, and Kipi, how about an update on the nominee list?
Most Helpful Member: CFM, for his friendly and creative posts in the Baldur's Gate forum, which helps many a newbie on his way and keeps those boards fresh.
SYM Most Loveable/Romantic Female Member: Lady Dragonfly, VonDondu and C Elegans

Best Moderator: Xandax
Best Avatar: Magelord (those cool red swirly pools), C Elegans (bouncy brain! ) and Yeltsu (the cheeky green smiley from the Hithchiker's Guide to the Galaxy)

And one of em's LD.
I'm goin' for a pint.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
These are all great nominatons and everything.
But I was wondering when the actual voting period will begin?

A Thought on the Awards Rewards
I was just thinking that it might be fun to actually give out rewards for The Award Ceremonies. Hopefully this wouldn't encourage poor behaviour, and hopefully the event would remain good-natured.. but how about if the winner of each category received a specially designed avatar suited to whichever designation with the logo "Best <insert category> 2007" written across it?
I don't know what people think, and I don't know how many of us could design something like that... I might be able to after a few sessions with Paint.
Just an idea anyway, thoughts?
Some more nominations:
Lurker of the year
Bloodstalker
Mostly comes out when summoned, unless I have missed something crucial here
BS for Lurker?? How can you be a lurker with over 15,000 posts??
*seems like I've had this conversation before*
@ DW - I agree with the avatar suggestion.

Whoa, no no no, those nominations were just meant to honour the lovability of those three nice lady's. And I wasn't really motivated to post the nominations smeared out over several days, hence the three nominations at once...fable wrote:Cor' blimey, he's trying for a foursome.
But really, using a forum to get laid?? Erm, no, not really:speech:

Does this mean you want the nomination for most perverted gamebanshee member?
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

Surely, writing "someone" instead of "something" won't do any harm.

I think ML's line ought to be remembered for next year's awards
Sorry ML, not trying to pick on you or anything like that, it was just pretty funny.

Brilliant. Twisted minds think alike, I see. If someone could pull it off, I'd be glad. But how if a person wins multiple awards? *Coughs* You *Coughs* :laugh:dragon wench wrote:I was just thinking that it might be fun to actually give out rewards for The Award Ceremonies. That said, I'm all for the idea.

I remember, now you mention it... Didn't think DW was that sneaky, stealing other people's jobs...
