One of my all time hiphop favorites, Grandmaster Flash & the furious five, The Message:

"A child was born, with no state of mind
Blind to the ways of mankind
Got a smile on you with these burning tooth
Cause only god knows what you go through
You grow in the ghetto, living second rate
And your eyes will sing a song of deep hate"

" I shot a man in Reno,
Just to watch him die"

Most badass line ever in a song in my opinion. Johnny Cash kicks ass.....

"I love you,
You love me,
We're a happy family,
With a great big hug,
And a kiss from me to you,
Won't you say you love me too"

That love has to offer
So silence or some recycled line
Now which would you prefer?"

Oooh, that's a good one.

Here's a Johnny Cash line I like.

"Life is hard for a boy named Sue."

I also like

"But if I don't leave right now, my whole place might burn down, cause I left somethin' turned on at home. It ain't the stove, it ain't the heater. She's hotter and a whole lot sweeter, and all day long she's been there alone. Right now, her arms are open. The house is probably smokin', cause I left somethin' turned on at home."

from I Left Something Turned On At Home by Trace Adkins. :D

I grew up in Florida where it is illegal not to like seafood, frozen mixed drinks and Jimmy Buffett. My favourite Jimmy "I-Only-Learned-to-Play-Guitar-So-I-Could-Pick-up-Girls" Buffett line is from Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes:

If if suddenly ended tomorrow,
I could somehow adjust to the fall,
Good times and riches, and son of a *****es,
I've seen more than I can recall.

If anybody asks, I'm the guy at the end of the restaurant's outdoor bar drinking the perfect margarita watching the sun set over the crystal clear Caribbean water.

Here's to you, George... *looks up into the sky...*

Here Comes The Sun

George Harrison

With the dissolution of The Beatles in the works, they were required to spent day after day in meetings at AppleHeadquarters. When the meetings ended for the day, George was relieved to be finished, and glad to be outside, inthe sun. Having gone one day to visit his friend, Eric Clapton, while walking around his garden, basking in the sun, this song came to him, and through it, renewed optimism.

Here comes the sun, do do do do, Here comes the sun, and I say, it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter

Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, do do do do, Here comes the sun, and I say, it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces

Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, do do do do, Here comes the sun, and I say, it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes, sun, sun, sun, here it comes,

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes, sun, sun, sun, here it comes,

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting

Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun, do do do do, Here comes the sun, and I say

It's all right, Here comes the sun, do do do do, Here comes the sun

It's all right, it's all right

I know that this one is the whole song itself, :) but I DO sing these lines when Murphy's Law rears its ugly head :( --- Maharlika

On the lighter side, here is my fave from the General Public's "Faults and All":

I love you more than I think you think I do...

I always tell my wife this liner whenever we get some "misunderstandings." :)

One nation
under God
has turned into
One Nation under the influence
of one drug

Television, the drug of the Nation
Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation

-Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, Televison the drug of a Nation

Shame of all nations

What seeds do we plant in an infants's mind?
Seeds of destruction
And don't you trust their kind?
This hate is deep-rooted, get rid of the weed
Destroying the harvest
Of peace that we need

Prejudice
Shame of all nations

We got to live in the same neighborhood
When you take a man's life it don't mean that you're good
Same blood runs through your veins
Your hate proves your insane
See a man's face but you can't see his heart
Don't even know him but you tear him apart
Them kind of things, they're just killing off the Earth
Maddness, mayhem, we must desert...

Prejudice
Shame of all nations
Breeding hate, we don't need no segregation

-Soulfly, Prejudice

Fifteen years getting loaded
Fifteen years 'till his liver exploded
Now what's Bob gonna do now that he can't drink?
The doc said, "What were you thinkin' bout?"
Bob said, "that's just the point, I wasn't thinkin bout nothing
Now i gotta do something else to pass the time"

Garmarna:

Varulven

Jungfrun hon skulle sig åt stugan gå
Linden darrar i lunden

Linden darrar i lunden
Min jungfru är borta min häst är förränd
Ty hon var vid älskogen bunden

The werewolf

The maiden she would to the cottage go
Linden trees quiver in the grove
So she took the path through the forest blue
She was carrying the fruit of love

And when she reached the forest blue
There she met with a gray wolf

O dear wolf please don't bite me
To you I will give my silver gown

The silver gown won't suit me at all
Your young life and your blood must go

O dear wolf please don't bite me
I will give you my silver shoes

Silver shoes won't suit me at all
Your young life and your blood must go

O dear wolf please don't bite me
I will give you my golden crown

A golden crown won't suit me at all
Your young life and your blood must go

The maiden she climbed up high in an oak
The wolf he paced the ground and howled

The wolf dug up the oak by the roots
The maiden gave a heart-rending cry

The young page saddled his gray steed
He rode slightly faster than a bird could fly

And when he came to the wooded place
He found nothing more than a bloody arm

God comfort, God improve me, young page
Linden trees quiver in the grove
My maiden is gone, my horse is dead
She was carrying the fruit of love

"It's time I put a ring on that finger I'm wrapped around."

~Brad Paisley(I think).

"send me a fax, send me a leter, or give me a call, that would even be better."

~some country song

"Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican girl
Night time would find me in Rosa's Cantina
The music would play and Felina would whirl"

~El Paso *can't remember the words to the rest of the song*

Battle of New Orleans

In 1814 we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson
Down the mighty mississip
We took a little bacon
and we took a little beans
and we fought the bloody British
in the town of New Orleans.

We fired our guns,
but the British kepta comin'
We fired once more
and they began ta runnin'
Down the mississippi
to the Gulf of Mexico

Well, ol' Hickory said
take'em by surprise
so we held our muskets
'til we looked'em in the eyes
We helled our fire
'til we saw their face as well
then we opened up our squirrel guns
and really gave'em...

...well, we fired our guns
but the British kepta comin'
We fired once more
and they began ta runnin'
Down the mississippi
to the gulf of Mexico

Well the ran through the briars
and they ran through the brambles
and they ran through the bushes
where the rabbits wouldn't go
they ran so fast
that the hounds couldn't catch'em
down the mississippi
to the gulf of mexico.

We fired our cannons
'til the barrels melted down
then we grabbed an aligator
and we fought another round
We filled his head with cannonballs
and powdered his behind
and when we lit the powder off
the gator lost his mind...

Well, we fired our guns
but the british kepta comin'
We fired once more and
They began ta runnin'
Down the mississippi
to the Gulf of Mexico.
