Really? I thought it was the cod going up in price thanks to shortages. :p
I've always had more than enough chips and the chip shop at the end of the road was taken over by the Chinese again. I think they're Chinese anyway. The decorations are a giveaway...
So it's not just me! All the local fish and chip shops have been taken over by people originating from Asia. Now, I'm not racist or anything, but I think it's a conspiracy. :mad:
*sniffle*
Except this bootblack doesn't even hail from Greater London...
You mean there is a Greater London? And here I was thinking every bit of London was Lesser London :p .

Haha. The shop down the road has had 2 sets of Asian owners out of 4 since I've lived here (which would be 10-11 years now [wow]). Maybe they're fans of the industry of have the entreprenurial shop-running desire. *shrugs*
You mean there is a Greater London?
Yep, I think the boroughs are collectively known as Greater London...

Erm, it's hard to remain seated after all those jello shots. Surfing would be bad right now. :(

At the risk of boring everyone I thought I would just let you know that I appear to have sorted out the computer problems I have been having and everything seems to be working again. This has only taken 10 days; £150; one visit from a service engineer;4 frustrating conversations with various gabbeladictums purporting to be tech support; a lot of help from GB members; and a close call with a nervous breakdown. Is this a record? :D :D

At the risk of sounding morbid and cruel...

LMAO!:laugh:

Well Fiona, I'm glad to hear everything is working again, let's hope it lasts! :)

@Rav: I vote all of the above :D .

@Fiona, Doesn't bore me...glad it's fixed. :)
How did it get fixed anyway?

@DJV, hmm. Very helpful. I was planning to do that, but didn't know the order. :p ;)

How did it get fixed he asks? How should I know? I have been fiddling about with it steadily all week. Cuminating in major intereference on all fronts today. I must have changed every setting in the machine at least twice. It got fixed the way chimpanzees write the works of Shakespeare, in short :laugh:

Oh, someone ripped it to pieces, howled at it a bit and someone else bought a new one to replace it? :p
