hmm i have been looking at that D&D site, and wat struck me (wat didnt strike me, Im wat, What struck me) was the amount of different sided dice, in Warhammer we usually just use d6's.....

And my University finally posted an induction timetable, looks like I go back to that next week. Less spamming for me from then

Yeah, there does seem quite a lot. I think we'll mainly use the d20 and a different one for weapons- depending on the damage of the weapon.

E.g. you roll the d20 to see if you hit, then a d8 to see the damage from a lance or equivalent weapon.

A standard dice that you would normally use is a d6. It has the possible results 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Other dies just have more of less results. Sometimes you throw more than one and take the combined result.
