This is slightly off topic but. Has anybody heard the band Therion? I was going to get one of thier cd's but i'm not sure if they are my style. I love hard rock but really hate that screaming death metal. If have heard them can you let me know what they are like?

Slightly off topic? That's an understatement! I haven't heard any music for a while. The weekend is 3 hours away, I will watch AFL and then hopefully play TOB for the rest of the weekend (if I can avoid my friends).

BTW, I have been studying the manual and I think Smite has two rounds, therefore it might be possible to use assination with that. How about a time-stop trap on top of that!

I think the most powerful attack will have to be chain-contingency with 'enemy on sight'- improved invisibilty, timestop & improved alacrity, follow by imprisonment. I think that should finish 99.99% of enemies.

Any comments?

Ok guys...here are my first impressions:
the pack is really nice, with a detailed manual exlaining all the new abilities and with the tables of exp......very good.
About the game i had problems with my video card but, solved that, the game haven't any major bug until now....i've played it for a few hours...around 3 hours. I'll post no place name, no weapon name not to spoil in any way.
Well, as i said yesterday, i choose to create a new character for ToB. I made a femalt dwarven assassin to have 19 dex. Her stats are: 17 str.; 19 dex; 18 cons; 12 int; 12 wis; 3 char (no good without the ring of human influence....but i don't really care about char...). She's lawful neutral.
After completing the character creation, i've been given a bag with some really good items (to mention a few: cutthroat; impaler)
and i began my adventure. When time came, i choose to have Sarevok with me.....he's really cool (as we all expected!!!). My other party members are Edwin, Viconia, Jahiera and Korgan.
I didn't summon any other NPC (even if you gain exp points for that) to leave me new options for the future games
The story is good and the enemies you meet are well organized. There are also strange combinations of enemies.....in SoA usually you met a group with 1 fighter+ 1 mage+ 1 cleric+ 1 thief....now sometimes i've met groups made only by fighters. The main difference with SoA (in this early part of the game) is the number of enemies you meet. Groups are really enormous in number.....one time i thought i made the wrong decision and so the enemies were infinite.....but it wasn't so. Anyway the game is really good and i'm enjoing it really much.
The only thing i've noticed is that, creating a new character, you begin at 2500000 exp points...and it's not so much. Moreover i really miss the ring of Gaxx and of regeneration...but that's good for my next game!!!!

If i dont get ToB today im gonna kill someone!!!!

btw Edwin u have a female dwarven assassin with dex 19 ??
last time i played a dwarven assassin he could only get 17 points in dex

why does norway get ToB earlier then Holland it is not far

@dude:you're right...she's a halfling.....or the hell class that has the dex bonus.....i usually play human characters...

BTW: i'm now here in the library listening to music (master of puppets by metallica, an album it was years i didn't listen to...but i always love) and posting on GB......nothing more to ask.....and they call this work....bah!!!! I'd have better things to do: playing ToB or doing my REAL job not wasting time this way!!!!!

as if i didn't know it should have been a Halfling!!!!!

The Rating system is really not in a good condition

i had some votes again but my
weigthed score is still 4.07 it doesn't go up or down.
So i don't get my 5 star rating back
And i know i only had 5 star ratings
