Yes teasing is very bad, I was alwaysed teased by my friend Kesha, (my god she was <snip> on second thoguht), in middle school, and I would tease her back, she said that she liked a bit of asertiveness, so I was asertive a very tiny bit.

Yeah, slowly working that in there is a good idea. Go too fast with something new, and someone's going to end up hurt and upset.
