in some obscure way i twisted the scale mail into a shield
You probably mixed up the shield proficiency feat and the equipment
The difference between being able to use a shield and owning one
@Kip, do you mean Fighter, or is the Warrior class separate from that (and/or Barbarian)
And NWN is a terrible adaptation of D&D rules apparently

Im not rerolling, my int and wis are high enough for me... especially since I have a feeling Ill be questing on my own while the two of you go off together. I am never on with yoiu two.
So, its 4d6 roll times 4 tims int bonus for skills... right?
That makes the max dice roll 24 and min 4... or am I all screwed again?

You roll the 4 dies, and take away the die with the lowest value, just adding the rest. Most of the time you'll end up with higher values

ah.
Well Im not rerolling.
I rather hate the fact that my strength is the worst of ym charatcer...

Kip intends a merchant type character to travel with the party anyway, you shouldn't end up stuck with plate armour encumbering you, which is just to sell anyway.

GA!
the thread is going serious again! the SF is NOT supposed to do that. Post farms arent supposed to have topics!

I meant the rules not the items.
Though the items definitely apply too.
Some of the feats and stats especially stuff from from HotU are completely different to the ruleset.

I came up with most of the principle for the SF- nothing against the odd serious topic

Yes, it's the same. Both are correct AFAIK
Didn't know there were that many Craft skills
Neither did I
But it actually make sense
How do you work out Initiative? 7 seems high for lvl 1
Good point, looked the wrong number to it. It should be 3 (same as DEX modifier)
Oh, and the warrior = fighter. Accidentaly used the warrior -word.
And NPC is supposed to be char that knows a bit of different things. That's why crafts, some stealth and so on.

Basic guideline for character sheets should be as folows:
Name, Race Sex
Level + Class
HP
Str
Dex
Con
Int
Wis
Cha
Initiative
Base Attack Bonus
Attack
Full Attack
AC
Fort
Ref
Wis
Skills (+/- bonuses included)
Feats
Equipment
I think you have all that, but it's just a guideline for others.

*nods* Good idea
. Although technically players wouldn't knew limits of capabilities in-game.

Yeah, that's right. But since the story is going to concentrate around NPC, I thought to post every detail here.

well the feats aren't that impressive on epic levels(considering that about 1-5%or less in forgotten realms) achieve lvl above 20 etc.. but the equipment... for christ sake, a belt that makes you a fire casting arch mage
, i'm able to solo a dragolich without breaking a sweat etc.. and that shouldn't be possible in any D&D

I read both of those when I was a newbie.
I am no longer a newbie... I refer to myself as a semi-noob.
Unless anyone here wants to call me something better?

Okay. Good to know that stuff.

That kind of thing is easy to ignore though. Just leave out the really high level equipment (unless you get to the really high levels). It's the underpinning stuff though, the stats, the rolls and classes that kind of thing.
NWN compensates for the lack of a party. Seriously a dracolich with two people- how high level should you be?
Especially if you have to fight 4/5 incarnations of it.

Noober
@rav: about elminster lvl
i'm level 27 or so in NWN and if you forget the part about the game being boring as hell, a fighter(24lvl), barbarian(1lvl), weapon master(2lvl) shouldn't be able to even put a dent on a dragolich, and i kick it's ass six ways from sunday..
IMO the game is a blasphemy against the tough mobs D&D has.. i wonder when you get to kill leviathan or a giant turtle( the one's that carry islands on their backs..
) the turtles have about a minimum of 50,000 hp
kill that with your lvl 1 fighter

Something bigger and tougher than a Dragon Turtle then? Yes, there really is such a thing
.
So you need a ridiculously huge +20 greatsword +10d6 fire damage just to make a dent?
Elspamo?
Or Elspamono.
